I just had my interview today to tick off the LPP, and the officer said up to 4 months for Oath Ceremony.Do you guys know how long it takes to get a date for the ceremony after LPP is completed?
* My LPP updated on May 02, and still, Ceremony has not started yet.
Was your interview in person or online? Which processing office? And what questions were you asked?I just had my interview today to tick off the LPP, and the officer said up to 4 months for Oath Ceremony.
just had mine today, mississauga office. Took about 15 minutes, just asked to look at passports, pr card, asked me all the same questions I had answered on the application again, and asked me if I intended to travel in the next 4 months then said it could take that long to get my oath invite. Nothing updated in my trackerThis is a follow-up to my post from a couple of days ago:
My online tracker was updated today morning with a request for an interview. The interview is scheduled for June 8. I don't have the official email yet, so not sure if the interview is in person or online.
Did anyone here receive an interview invite? If so, which office? How long did the interview last? Can you share your experience? I'm keen on knowing what questions they ask and what are things I should be prepared with.
Thanks in advance!
It was in person. Bring a print out of the invite if possible, they looked at my phone, but seemed they were happier getting a physical copy of the invite to tick you off the list. They had several people interviewing at the same time slot, so they put you in order of arrival so I got to go in first for my timeslot. So would recommend getting there a little earlier to get out quicker. Was your interview in person or online? Which processing office? And what questions were you asked?
All helpful information. Thanks so much for sharing. My interview is at the Scarborough office so the arrangement might be slightly different. Not sure.It was in person. No update yet, most people seem to say it can sometimes take a week. All helpful information. Thanks so much for sharing. My interview is at the Scarborough office so the arrangement might be slightly different. Not sure.
Did your LPP status update immediately after the interview? Or does it still show in progress?
Oh ok. Cool. Thanks again! This feels like such a long and arduous process with the interview included. Lucky are those whose files got processed without any interview. No update yet, most people seem to say it can sometimes take a week.
Yeah, gotta admit I was a little disappointed to get one, added almost a month to wait for it, and potentially adding more time by the time I get the oath invite. Seems like a lot of ppl on the forum are lucky enough to avoid it.Oh ok. Cool. Thanks again! This feels like such a long and arduous process with the interview included. Check the spreadsheet link on page 1, it will give you the full picturewhat is the current average time between completing LPP and the oath date?
