Hello There,

I remember some people received the test invite with the mention that additional documentation was needed but there was no indication whatsoever. So what I did I sent my passport copies anyway to their email address to avoid delays. And it worked my background check was marked as complete today.

If they don't receive it during the 30 day period, they will send you an email.

Congrats, I am still waiting since November 15 :( received January 10 .

Hi,
I received a request from IRCC asking for colour photocopies of every page of my passport. Can I use my phone to scan each page and email that way?
sorry, I posted on this thread as I don't know how to start a new post/thread, me and technology lol. If anyone could help me, that would be great.

I don't think so, phone quality is usually very poor, plus it's hard to get the angle and lighting right. If not taken correctly, IRCC can reject your photos, so it's worth getting it right and avoiding delays.
Most modern printers have an inbuilt scanner that can serve your purpose e.g. https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/hp-deskjet-2723e-wireless-all-in-one-inkjet-printer/15804076
Your workplace or friends might have a printer with a scanner as well.
You may also be able to visit a Stapes print and copy center and have them do it for you, but it will likely be very expensive.

Thanks so much for replying! In the end I did use a PDF app on my phone and it seemed to be pretty clear. Took some time scanning each page though! It's difficult getting hold of a printer for this, and I live in a fairly remote area far from a Staples. So, I'm just hoping the pictures will be ok.

We got our update today on the Status tracker. Everything except Citizenship Ceremony is marked as completed :). It's been quite a memorable journey. How long do we need to wait for the Oath Ceremony?
