I don't think so there is a way to know anything before you get a test invite from your local office. I am from Winnipeg too but still waiting for BG to even start LOL

Edmonton office is the slowest. Paper application sent on Apr 12, 2021, delivered on Apr 15, 2021, AOR - 22Jul, ECAS - Processing started 9 Sep,2021, Still waiting for the BG check to start.

Well the only thing that'll make me feel better is if IRCC get their Sh*t sorted out, they are unorganized , understaffed and I have no clue what thing are they snorting theses days but they need to pickup some pace. Yes, it’s high time for IRCC to speed up their process. I don’t find any reason for them to take that long to process the BG check for applications that has100% clean records.

I really do not understand why we have to wait that long. Their website indicate that they are completing application from aug 2019(lol).
They know everything about us specially the past 4 or 5 years yet new comers can get in Canada in less than 6 month even for temp. Worker can get in in less than two weeks yet we have to wait somewhere from a year to ...

It seems, our file is not moving at all with any updates this year.
This is ridiculous.
Even more frustrating thing is you can't do anything about it except waiting. Toronto office on the other hand is doing excellent job despite the high volumes they receive. They're inviting people from as late as June 2021 for a test.
