In the spreadsheet, the "Test interview date" means that the applicant has taken the test, not that the applicant went through an interview. Before COVID it appears that when IRCC invited applicants to take the test and interview could be performed at the same time, that doesn't happen now, there are very few cases where interviews are required and that information is captured in the Notes section.

oohh... I didn't realize that. I thought that some people have some sort of interview after the test, thanks for clarifying that.

Hey everyone,

Unfortunately my application seems stalled again - I applied online (Vancouver) on April 20, only got AOR on August 25, and since then, absolutely nothing. No updates on the online tracker after Aug 26. I keep reading here that folks are having their tests already, whereas I didn't even get my background check completed. Anyone else in the same boat? What's going on?

I apply online too, April 18th 2021 . AOR August 25 and update on the online tracker August 26. Since then no update. I think they forgot about us. We are in same boat. Please let me know if you have background checks completed and test invite please. I would do same , if I received them.

Interesting new update. My wife's file was updated with BG completed on Sept 10th and my file hadn't been updated at all. However, we have both recieved test invites (according to the new tracker) on Oct 25th, even though my BG is still marked In Progress. (I'm bacovcin on the tracking sheet).

You will probably be required to submit Fingerprints, usually BG is completed before test invite, but it appears that you are an exception, every local office has its own metrics and rules!!! What is your test window? Please let us know once you have received the actual test invite. Thanks

IRCC officers are reassigned to deal with applications from Afghanistan. This has cut down their ability to process the citizenship applications faster. Also, now that the federal elections are over, the federal government (read incumbent liberals) has no incentive to direct IRCC to clear the backlog early.

Got email today with " Follow the progress of your citizenship grant application " but it does not have any application file number or anything. Never got any email with the attached PDF or in the mail yet.

Checked all folders but there is no email. When checked with the old e-case with UCI it says they sent AOR details on 15 Oct 2021.

Should I expect AOR email? Does anyone know this kind of odd situation?

I see nothing new. Everything just the same as it was when I first created the account in that new tracker @Strongfaith42 any idea bud?

I you don't see any update in a week, it could mean that you will be required to provide FP, you will need to wait from 6 to 8 weeks to receive the FP request from IRCC Vancouver, it could be earlier as online are being processed faster than paper applicants. Please keep us posted.

Your only option here is to call IRCC and confirm the email address they have on file for you, I think they will be able to provide the Application # during the call as well. Is the information in old ECAS correct? If you have a representative the email may have gone to the representative email address.

At least you have access through old ECAS.

Nobody knows the exact answer to your question, it varies by the local office processing your application, it could take weeks or months, you can see some trends in the spreadsheet.

In the same boat, applied April 19th 2021, AOR Aug 27th and nothing after that.
