I received my AOR today, even though I did provide a picture of my passport with my application, they are requesting it again because it's expired and they want an explanation and proof lol I'm a bit confused about that. Anyway, I sent the proof and explanation

I tried to register using the application number and UCI but I couldn't yet (says they are incorrect). I guess it's because they need to check what I sent today before processing.

You need to wait 24-48 hours to register in the new dashboard. I applied online on April 23 and received AOR on Aug 27. Dead silence since then. According to the trend, when should I expect movement in my application?

When fingerprints are requested, is there an update or status message in the new tracker? I just realized that when we received the FP request on September, the tracker still only says that they started processing the application - nothing to note they asked for anything.
In the dashboard shows "In Progress" and in Application History you can see that they have added the Fingerprints requested action and in the top of the Dashboard a Waiting on You action is showing with a new message indicating that an email has been sent with instructions. After they receive the FP it will show in the application history: Fingerprints received and then BG verification will be completed, sometimes a couple of days after FP were received.
No, I have not received the test invitation as of yet. My application is paper and for a family of 5 (4 adults - 1 child) and my local office is Calgary, it appears they are sending test invitations to online but not paper. I am patiently waiting and have been studying in the meantime.
Timing varies by your the local office processing your application, it could be weeks or months.
That’s interesting. There was no update to the tracker at all after receiving the e-mail requesting fingerprints. There was a ghost update Sept 22, but the application history only says that it was filed in July.
Oh wow, that is weird!!! Did you receive the email from IRCC Vancouver providing instructions about FP?
I’m not sure where the email itself was from, but the letter had us send the FP to the Sydney office and said “Your application for Canadian Citizenship remains at the Case Processing Center for processing.”
Well you are not probably the first one, but the majority of the FP requests come from IRCC Vancouver, maybe they are splitting the tasks now, but so weird it doesn't show in your dashboard either.
