Does anyone receive their AOR? Based on my courier tracking my application was received at the Nova Scotia office last April 6, 2020.

A bit too early yet. People from Feb and March are still waiting.

Thanks! i was told that we should be receiving the 1st notice in a span of 3 months. Do you have any idea what month (this year 2020) of application already received the 1st AOR? just to give us a hint how delay it could take. really appreciate it.

Actually in my FB group (Prioritize Family Sponsorship) the Admins have been told by many Members of Parliament that due to Covid-19, new spousal applications will take two (2) years to process!
So your hunch may very well be correct.

We might be expecting AOR's starting to appear some time next year.....
Every passing day in radio silence on new apps, makes this reality more probable.

Visa offices will soon run out of spousal applications to process....priority will be processing student and express entry.

Because more $$s come from such applicants, Canada has lost billions of $$$s from student fees loss, but they should not forget families and should not even think it will take 2 years . And if it really does take 2 years OK let us allow temp visit Visas to spouses, charge us fees thus will improve economy a bit more if many spouses come visit and stay here until DM. Members already have suggested them such but sadly no results yet

Do you have a link to that? That may be just their guess

It is their guesses. No one can come out and say that without actual sources. MP’s don’t always know the exact answer either. A 5 month backlog does not equal to an extra 12 month delay. Does not make sense. People need to stop posting fake news without legit sources. It creates a lot of anxiety.
