My husband is here with me in Canada now, however, he is wondering what the chances for him being allowed back into Canada if he left the country to go back to Germany for a month or two and then wanted to re-enter Canada again. Is the Canadian border closed to our spouses? Of course, he has no AOR1....so he has no progress to show for his PR application. We definitely don't want to take the chance that he leaves Canada and then can't come back in! We know there are no guarantees but????

Except for USA, every other country citizen need to inform IRCC for their travel plans. Canada border is open for immediate family member.

We submitted outland application in April but now since the delay we want to change to inland so that my husband can apply to work Permit and stay in Canada. Can we apply now for work Permit? Did anyone do it after sending the application?

I understood somewhere that you have to withdraw your outland application before you can reapply for inland, so clock would be restarted and depending where you were in your original application you may/not get a refund.

Hi, I just called IRCC and they told me they are working on application on after 17th Jan. I am an April applicant but just posting here because 3 people got AoR so that's great. Seems like agents doesn't have any up to date information. Hopefully all March and April applicants receive AOR soon.
