I received an ITA under CEC and will soon submit my applicationHello,
I am wondering if you applied again via CEC? Was that helpful? any update for you?
@legalfalcon Please, advise us. I'm waiting for almost 15 months, 2 months since info-sharing/security started. They keep me asking for an updated address but do nothing about my application. I guess most folks here are in the same situation, inland, exempted from travel restrictions, and still waiting. We all see applications from 2021 been issued and the officers are acting with disrespect with us. So how can we open a Mandamus asking for an answer? I'm waiting since 28/04 in Ottawa and it seems they are not working at all.

If there has been an inordinate delay only then a writ of mandamus can be filed before the Federal Court asking the court to compel the Minister of Immigration to make a decision on your file. However, each case is different and based on individual circumstances which would determine if the case would succeed or not. You will have to contact a lawyer to have your case assessed and see whether mandamus is the right option.
Also, the courts will not entertain the case because of a pandemic and courts do not interfere in policy decisions of the government, and closing the border is one of them.
In the past, some applicants who were waiting due to security screening have successfully requested mandamus from federal courts, but compelling the minister to issue a CORP just since 15 months have elapsed, is not compelling ground.

Biometrics exemption updated on Oct 1
Me and spouse were outland and criminality passed.
Dependent child inland on study permit, criminality still in progress since Oct 1. RCMP Screening - NRT.
Landed on WP on 11 March and spouse got WP on 10 June.
Security not started yet because Criminality still in progress for child since October 1
What’s weird is that RCMP screening status is NRT and still Criminality is In Progress.
Any insight @legalfalcon?

It can take some time for the date to be processed and updated.
Also, criminality has nothing to do with security. Even if criminality is pending, all other stages will continue to process. to read on security see

I was thinking, I am alone
It is wiered often we see fsw applicants getting COPR with Different AOR month, but I never heard any from April, what is wrong with April!!!! is the whole month a lie or just the April1th

March 2020 AOR here. Called IRCC Today same status as yours. My Status has been the same since two months ago.I was thinking, I am alone

I asked if he could tell me when my file was last touched. The representative told he doesn't have the info and also things like VO office has nothing to do with the processing time. He asked me to hang-on and keep an eye on my email account. He said that he understands that it has been over a year. But looks like they weren't functioning for 6 months last year. So asked me to be patient.
Yes they were not functioning for April 2020 AORs due to pandemic however that did not stop them from dishing out coprs to 2021
It is the probably the expired medicals that's complicating things for last year's applicant. There was a tweet that showed internal communication inside IRCC asking the officers to work on simpler applications. It was tweeted by a lawyer on twitter. That was in march.
I don't completely understand this tweet. May be you can explain.
Only thing I can get is that the message recommends officers to work on simpler applications and hold on while issuing PPRs.
