Hello all,

Has any inland applicant received a refund regarding his/her application?

I read that the biometrics fees, if already provided, were going to be paid back, but I am not so sure of the amount, or if there is another concept that they will be paying back.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Finally application approved after a year
CEC inland with spouse both inland
AOR- 29 April 2020
Med- 18 June, extended in April
Bio- 3 Nov
ADR- 12 April RPRF, paid same day

Thanks a lot to this group because I use to read everyone’s copr email and use to calm myself down with some hope.
Congrats did your adr for rprf changed from reviewing to not applicable??

@legalfalcon
I am really stressed as my file crossed 1 year and 1 week today.
AOR April 30, 2020
Bio: Sep 29, 2020
Got notes on 5 Feb, 2021 which says Approved on Oct 2, 2020
Contacted MP nothing worked
Someone from here told me to send email to Etobicoke my local office. I did and next week, they extended my medicals as they were expired in March2021.
Now it has been 2 weeks since they extended my medicals.
My mental Health at the moment is really bad
Is there any harm in sending the same email again to Etobicoke.
Please help me
I applied as married but non accompanying spouse and spouse is in canada on OWP.
Hi

Please msg me the email address which you used for the local office.

Thanks

Is it really normal that they prioritize the CEC? I checked the website and they're already working on CEC for June. And I applied for FSW inland and still no progress at all..

@legalfalcon,
I have applied under cec and my Aor is 13 April 2020, biometric done on 4 Nov 2020, status is unchanged having criminality in progress and security not started.
Recently on 3 may 2021 my medicals are extended.
I called ircc yesterday and the status is same. I mailed ctc Ottawa asking about my status as my primary processing office is vo Ottawa.
I am with my spouse and son inland.

Do you have any idea if it benefits to send a mail to local MP? Is the process that slow that I have been in waiting from more than 1yr

Here is my old post on contacting MPs:

The MP can only obtain your info and not expedite the process. Here is my old post on the this:

An MP inquiry is not a right, rather it is a privilege given to the Member of Parliament to obtain your personal information from a federal agency.

Section 8 of the Privacy act states:

Disclosure of personal information

  • 8 (1) Personal information under the control of a government institution shall not, without the consent of the individual to whom it relates, be disclosed by the institution except in accordance with this section.

    Where personal information may be disclosed

    (2) Subject to any other Act of Parliament, personal information under the control of a government institution may be disclosed
    (a) ...
  • (b) ...
  • (c) ...
  • (d) ...
  • (e) ...
  • (f) ...
  • (g) to a member of Parliament for the purpose of assisting the individual to whom the information relates in resolving a problem;

They can obtain your information from any federal agency within 24-48 hours. However, beyond this they cannot do anything.

Thank you for the response.
The waiting is too high. Hope the officers move forward my application.

As many April and before 2020 are still waiting, is their any measures or decisions taken from IRCC to complete these before completing far after applications? biometrics was thought to be completed by maximum 6months. So might be earlier applicants can expect soon that our applications are addressed.

Where is stated that biometrics is to be completed after 6 months? Do you mean criminality after biometrics?
