Yesterday, June 12, I got MP/BIL.
Today, June 13 I got email that your application status has changed. I opened the portal and it says * Your action required*. But there is nothing. Is it some kinda ghost update that I am not familiar with? AOR April 22

@legalfalcon

This is normal and rightly said in the response above, it is a ghost update.

Biometric Invitation Letter - June 15, 2020

Hi @legalfalcon,
I'm curious wether I have to give biometric for the PR Application or not because my Application Information section shows the following -

Biometrics:
  • Biometrics Number:
  • Date of Biometrics Enrolment: February 18, 2020
  • Expiry Date: February 18, 2030
I'm currently on a Work Permit and had given biometric on the above date. Is IRCC now considering the biometric submitted for WP as that for PR as well ?

Also is there any information regarding when will IRCC start accepting Biometrics at various VAC.

Hi did you receive email informing your updates, or you logged in website and found updates? Thanks!!!

Hello guys:

My nomination still has my previous address before I arrived in Canada on a work permit. Is it a problem if I submit it like that to CIC with my permanent residence application? Thank you for your time.

Most likely your biometrics are still valid and the ones you gave for the WP will be used.

However, see https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp

Hey Legalfalcon, my concern is the following. I got a medical passed update, HOWEVER, no BIL request. Can you tell me if that's bad and I have to worry about it?

If you see the BIL enrolment, then most likely IRCC will use your previous BIL. BIL is not a part of your application processing, so if IRCC requires it, they will ask.

Thanks. Honestly, I dont remember giving BIL in the past... So thats why I am concerned

After getting MED passed update I raised a webform and here is what they wrote to me:
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
Lastly, we verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.
All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.

No need to be concerned, if IRCC needs BIL, they will ask for it. As long as your application is progressing you are good.

What is confusing is that on hand they have my Biometric date listed as 18 Feb 2020 and on the other hand they have given a BIL Letter for both my and my wife (who also gave her biometric at the same time - Feb 18) I did include my biometric details in my LOE while submitting my documents during ITA.
