What is BIL
Sorry I didn't notice your reply. BIL is biometric instruction letter that the IRCC would send you after around 1 week to 2 months, once you received this letter, you shall go to relevant local immigration office to upload your fingerprints as requested. Yet, as the result of the pandemic, the duration of processing this letter is somehow extended to roughly 2 months. So I guess the whole processing time will also be prolonged by 2 months (optimistic estimation). Hope this can help you and best wishes to all applicants.

Hi

Is your AOR for a paper based or express entry application? If its for paper based, I would like to know when your application was received at CIC. Thank you

When does the 6 months processing time start for an Express Entry Application?

A processing time starts the day IRCC receives a complete application, i.e. from the day when the completeness check (R10) is done. Contrary to popular belief I does not start when the AoR is issued.

R10 or the completeness check is the first stage of the application processing.
How can we know when the R10 is passed?

This is from the CIC website. so the AOR = R10 passed right? Please check below

Acknowledgement of receipt (R10 passed) letter
An acknowledgement of receipt (R10 passed) letter is issued to an applicant (or their representative, if applicable) once their application for permanent residence has passed the R10 completeness check. The letter is issued by the Centralized Intake Office. If the application was submitted electronically, this letter is sent to the applicant (or their representative, if applicable) via their MyCIC account; otherwise, the letter is sent by mail. This letter should not be confused with the electronic receipt of the application for permanent residence letter. This is the official acknowledgement of receipt letter and it may be used to support a bridging open work permit if all other requirements are met.

Now the AoR is sent immediately after you submit the application. So the information you have quoted is old. The R10, which is the first step happens within the first 3-5 weeks. Usually it happens very close to when the medicals are passed. However, now since the medicals are not being done or not showing passed on the MyCIC account, it is just a speculation as to when the R10 would happen when everything is delayed.

Today i uploaded missing document through webform. How we know the document is submitted ?
You will get a email few days later from IRCC saying that "We are pleased to confirm the reception of the following document:

XXXXXXXXXXXXX"

Don't worry, pleas be patient.

AOR: April 3rd.
Medical passed: June 2nd
Requested Imm5406e, submitted on June 2nd.

I did not get a biometric letter, it still shows they do not need it for now.
I have done my biometrics last year for work permit and I noticed the information has been applied to my EE application( it was not there until today). I assume that means they do not need new biometrics if you have done one before. Good news for the pandemic?

FSW Outland (Brazil) + PNP Alberta
ITA: Feb 19
AOR: Apr 04 > All documents complete and uploaded (LOE specifically provided only for POF)
Waiting progress on myCIC > Medicals pending
Update:

Today (June 2nd) I received confirmation of Medicals passed and already got a request for Biometrics to be sent until September 1st. Any news on when VACs in Brazil will reopen?
