There is no specific format. Just explain as you would in a letter. Keep it plain and simple.

Hi All,

Sorry if this has been asked already in another discussion board, but I just submitted my application for PR with all my documents about ten minutes ago. Does anyone know how long the confirmation email or e-AOR takes to received? The website said sometime it can take a few hours but just wondering if anyone can tell me from personal experience!
Thanks so much!! :)

Dear All

Due to COVID-19 outbreak lockdown, none of the photo studios are open or in working. However, i was thinking to click a photo using my smart phone and using an app PASSPORT SIZE PHOTO MAKER or similar apps online, i can resize as per requirements.
Due date to submit PR application is May 4, 2020.
But my question is, i am unable to remove shadow from the picture, which is only visible in the neck region. Any suggestions? Will it be acceptable? Do i need to provide Letter of explanation for not providing a photo by a professional photographer?

Thanks in Advance

You can submit your application without the pic and include an LoE seeking time. IRCC will grant you additional time to upload the pic later.

Biometrics: Done last year for visitor visa. (wondering should I do a separate one for PR application).
Upfront medical exam: Done last year July. (Now some clinics are taking appointments in Vancouver, I probably will do a new one.)
LoE: Uploaded.

Would still need to provide biometrics. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/biometrics-collection-in-canada.html

“If you’ve already provided biometrics for a previous visitor visa, or study or work permit application, your biometrics are valid for 10 years. You don’t need to give your biometrics for any future visitor visa, or work or study permit application until the 10-year period expires. However, if you’re applying for permanent residence, you’ll need to give your biometrics each time you apply until you’re approved.”

AOR - April 19, 2020
CEC applicant (inland)
One query - it might be my ignorance but need valuable advice.

Situation: My old passport which was from Nov 26, 2006 - Nov 25, 2016 , did not have my surname on it. It just had "xxxxx" in the given names. We then changed it completely by going through the change of name procedure through the Indian consulate in the UAE. The new passport then had the name as it is in my newly renewed passport (issued in Canada) and also the old passport on which I had travelled to Canada in 2017 (the passport with student visa).
Nowhere in any of my those previous applications to CIC did I mention of name change because I did not see it relevant considering my new passport with name change will be my new travel document for next 10 years (August 17, 2010 - August 16, 2020) and now (Oct 18, 2019 - Oct 17, 2029).

Do I have to worry about this part after the submission of application? No details of my old passport (with no surname) was mentioned anywhere in my PR application, PGWP application, Student application, and 1st tourist Visa application in 2014.

Although I do have the affidavit and old passport before name change with me
One of the registered consultant with IRCC told me that raise a webform and inform them now with the old passport (before name change) and the new one with the same reason mentioned above as I thought it was irrelevant.
Kindly advice.
