Guys, If there is only 9 days left for my 6-months process to complete but they didn't send me a PPR yet. I passed medical in may & biometrics in august. Does this mean that i passed eligibility and they are doing security check? IS there a chance that i am refused (wrong NOC, wrong paper etc) but they still didn't reply? or now it is just the finalization period and all are ok?
Hi All,
How likely is refusal at this point, after passing eligibility? Have anyone heard about this so far ?

After eligibility is passed there are background checks which includes criminality, biography and security checks - you should worry only if you have any adverse record with authorities or any misrepresentation in your papers, otherwise it’s just a matter of passing this step to approval.

Thanks.
I am not worried, but because someone asked in the forum, I was wondering if it is possible

anything is possible, however one would themselves know if there is anything to worry about. Be assured and hopeful. It’s just a waiting game. Best of Luck.

Biometric submitted 1st july..
Outland pnp based express entry candidate.

Job title : assistant manager:
So after waiting almost 5 and half months, i have been asked to provide further evidence. I started my work with this company as CSR and then promoted to Assistant manager but they never provide me papers for that neither do i asked for it. My Manager has provided me with the affidavit and clarified this in the affidavit which i had attached with the application. So what else can i provide to further support my application and what are the chances? I have requested my colleagues to provide my affidavit to clarify my job position as assistant manager as i haven’t’ got my job offer. Few of them have agreed for this. I am really worried about this. I have dedicated my last 2 years to prepare everything and at the end all this . I don’t have anything else apart from these affidavits to provide?

This the response i have received from immigration

I am now completing the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a skilled
worker. It appears that you may not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.
Subsection 75(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations states that a foreign national
is a skilled worker if:
b) during that period of employment they performed the actions described in the lead statement for
the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational
Classification;
c) during that period of employment they performed a substantial number of the main duties of the
occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational
Classification, including all of the essential duties;
You do not appear to meet the requirements under paragraphs b) and c) for the following reasons:
You have not submitted sufficient evidence to satisfy me that you have performed the actions
described in the lead statement for the occupation identified in your application AND You have not
submitted sufficient evidence to satisfy me that you have performed a substantial number of the main
duties for the occupation identified in your application. The contract and payslips provided to support
your position held at service station are for the role of Customer Service Representative and the provided
affidavit affirms your duties that do not align with those listed under NOC 0621
Retail and wholesale
trade managers.

Is it fine to have criminality in progress and info sharing in progress along with eligibility being recommended pass for 6 months now? Last update in GCSM notes was in June when I ordered notes in August

The main issues here are that your job duties in your employment letter (affidavit) do not match the job duties described in NOC 0621. So you might be refused because of wrong NOC. Try to submit sufficient evidence that you have performed duties listed in NOC 0621, which must be signed by your supervisor, manager or Human Resource. Colleagues can support but not a strong point.

Dear all, I received a ghost update today. Does it signify anything? My account says background checks have not started though

Its a good thing as it means your application is moving forward, what the background part says in your online account has no bearing as it stays pretty much the same throughout all of the process until you receive COPR.
