Hi everybody,

I have question regarding when you received your request for a medical exam.

Our family sponsorship application got sent to the Bogotá Visa Office on January 10th, 2019 and we received the letter stating I’ve been approved as sponsor for my spouse and the request of our CSQ undertaking application as we are going to Quebec. Our CSQ was approved on February 27th and was sent to the VO in Bogotá. It’s now been almost 4 months and we haven’t received the request for the medical exam for my spouse and we are wondering why it’s taking so long for the request.

How long can it take from the moment your application was sent to the VO to the time you received the medical request? Do they tend to wait to ask for the request rather then at the beginning? I’ve also read that many people received the medical request almost immediately after it was sent to the VO ( for other countries for ex.)

Our case manager advised us that each VO has there own process for when they request the medical and no news is usually good news. Is 4 months a long time for not receiving the medical request yet and should we request an update on our application from the Bogotá VO?

Many thanks,

Brody
Not unusual, every VO does things differently. It won't hurt you to call if you can to ask if it's been sent out.

Are you checking ecas for updates?
We hired a immigration lawyer and the check they have registered to check our status etc. Whenever we want an update, we just ask for a screenshot to see. I can view the basic online tool it doesn’t have the same information. Can we do the ecas ourselves? or just our case manager as it’s registered to their email I believe

You can't access gckey but you can access ecas - which is actually typically more accurate that gckey, although less detailed.

If you made mistake by not signing the paper by hand, then the application will be returned. It is clearly specified in the checklist, both (electronic and handwritten) signature have to be there on schedule A

Hello, could you please point out where does it say that Schedule A must be signed both electronically and by hand?
It does not say that on the checklist that I am using?
And the image that you uploaded, I am not able to open it.

From the checklist
IMPORTANT: For this form to be accepted as part of a paper application, each person required to complete it must:
a) type their name in the signature box at the bottom
b) validate the form
c) print out the validated form, and
d) provide a handwritten signature next to the typewritten name in the signature box

Thank You. So I guess I am screwed.
is it 100% a return of app or are there scenarios where something different has happened?

I was in this same situation, I would recommend filling out the Schedule A, hand signing it and send it in by webform ASAP. They took mine no problem and we got approved for the PR recently. Good luck!

Some one in the whatsapp group suggested the same thing to me.
However may I know how can you link the webform to your application? I mean, since there is no AOR i guess there is no way to link the webform to my application ?

You can use the receipt number that appears on your receipt when you made the initial payment for all the fees. It's the whole receipt number including any letters that may appear. They'll be able to track your application this way. This is what my husband and I did.

Did you put the Receipt number in the "Message section" ?
And did you put the enquirer as PA or the Sponsor?

You put the receipt number where they ask for your application/UCI number. In the message area, you explain what happened and ask them to confirm that it's been received. My husband had to send it in as he was the one signing it, he is the PA.

I made a mistake in my schedule A form, In the section to declare address for past 10 years , I forgot to mention one address, where my wife worked for a year and half. Will it result into return of application or will they ask me only submit Schedule A again?
