You are a Canadian Citizen and hence will be fine. That rule applies to Permanent Residents.

Also for 1-2 weeks you dont have to prove your intention to return either. Its only if you stay for extended times (months) where you need to provide proof of your intention to return to Canada.

Its mainly asking for the trips you already have had during the relationship but you can write the future dates and in the section ‘do you want to give more information about relationship’ specify your plan in detail and what you will be doing and if you have round trip flight tickets and hotels booked attach it to your 10 page documents as its a bonus and helps your case. (Do remember should be a short vacation only!)

as of now I am a PR and I have a citizenship test on June 6th. What if I become a citizen before getting the final decision? Can I travel outside of country then?

They wrote following on my refusal letter
133 (1) A sponsorship application shall only be approved by an officer if, on the day on which the application was filed and from that day until the day a decision is made with respect to the application
there is evidence that the sponsor

• (a) is a sponsor as described in section 130
  note:Sponsor
  • 130 (1) Subject to subsections (2) and (3), a sponsor, for the purpose of sponsoring a foreign national who makes an application for a permanent resident visa as a member of the family class or an application to remain in Canada as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class under subsection 13(1) of the Act, must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who must
    • resides in Canada
    • And based on the information you were out of canada

to remain in Canada as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class - this is and inland application.

Yes they do ask for additional docs if they need more proof regarding the genuineness of your relationship (photos and/or proof of communication etc) or something simple like other docs to justify late registration of birth certificate (to name a few).

There is no restriction on traveling on an outland application, other than if the sponsor is a PR and not a citizen they must remain inside Canada (short trips, like 2-3 weeks max are generally tolerated).

Hi There..
My application was received on April 17 and no sign of AOR. I was going through my application today and i realized that I did not provide my employment history for 5 years and just gave my Canadian Employment History which is close to 4 Years. Is anybody went through this. I am so worried and have not got my application returned as yet. Do you think they will gonna return my application or they will ask to update the remaining information?
