Guys, is there any way to contact NDVO? We were asked to submit photographs after our file was transferred to NDVO from Mississauga.
We submitted the photos a month ago to NDVO. I'm an April 2019 applicant.

Status says: We are reviewing the additional documents you provided.

You know any way thru which I can call them (NDVO) up? or ordering GCMS is the only option I have?

I was checking my email and I notice that on my medical check request form they put my birth place wrong. On my passport and application form my birth place is India but they put some other country in the medical request form. I have already done my medical and passed it too and they have already transferred my application to visa office for further processing. so my question is since I am at the last stage of my application process, Can I change it when I get to Canada Or should I let them know about the error? If I let them know about the error, will it delay my application process? And if I don't let them know will I have trouble at the airport? Does count as misleading information from my part ? since its a mistake made from their part!
HELP PLEASE!

Hi there,

My wife's Spouse sponsorship application is in process - April 2019 applicant. NDVO had asked for additional documents (Hindu wedding photos since we had a courtroom wedding in the States). Now my wife is in India after our Hindu wedding.

We have submitted the photos a month back and the current status shows "we are reviewing the additional documents you provided". Not sure how long they gonna take from this point.
  1. Should I apply for her TRV? She was denied it once after we filed her PR application, reason given: her US immigration status was about to end. Now that she is in India that situation has improved. Another reason was her family ties to Canada which has not improved from IRCC's PoV, since I am here in Canada. You think it makes any sense to apply for TRV? Is it worth to take a chance?
  2. Or should I reach out to local MP here and ask for help? And if you think this is a better option, how should I reach out to the MP?
Thanks.

If you apply for TRV, chances are very low plus the time period and money you waste is more to it. As you have already a april candidate so why not wait for another month patiently for the decision because TRV is gonna take some time too. Plus you will be having more stress.
Secondly if you goes to MP for help, he/she is gonna say that your file is within time period. But you can still try for that because that is worth of a try and you might be lucky that he/she will help. So going to MP for help is better option than TRV according to me.

Thanks a lot for responding. Totally agree with your points. I had the same thought process.
But if I go by this, there is an assumption we are making. The assumption is about the 12 months processing time. If the file is processed within that time-frame, we are good. But what if not and we all know NDVO! Let's say the decision is not made by April and at that time I want to file TRV, it will delay things more than anything else. That's why I was thinking of taking a chance by applying TRV.
I will drop an email to MP office as well.

HI,

You dont need to worry. The IRCC wbsite does not get updated appropriately. We were asked for additional documents in July and heard nothing for 8 months. It still shows waiting to receive additional documents but we received Pre arrival and DM this month.

That's a long wait man. That number - 8 months - frightens me - hoping that it is not a norm at NDVO. Congratulations to you and your family :)

See nobody know your file better than yourself and visa officer. If you know you have some issue in the file which will make it difficult to access than try every possible option. But if you know you are good to go, just the file is not picked up yet then don’t try anything. Because your turn will come you will be given visa before timeline completion.
