Awesome. I am not far behind then. My application was received on Apr 30. Probably this coming week, i can expect my AOR too as well as ray of hopes starts opening up for May Applicants too.

Why does it take long time now for application's status to change from received to in process? From my understanding it shouldn't take that long.

Yes IRCC will send you an invite to the test/interview and oath.

You cannot do the test before applying.

I expect it will take around 3 months on average. But may take longer, our AOR are also taking more time than expected.

I am exactly in the same situation as you. My application was initially submitted in Jan or Feb (honestly can’t remember) but I forgot to tick a checkbox so they sent it back. I checked the box and resubmitted the application April 15 and it was received April 17.

I still have not received AOR. After reading your post I checked my ecas and behold it shows application received April 17, 2019. I wasnt expecting that lol. I will try to call them to resend the AOR as I never received it but I really do t have the time. I check spam mail regularly too and I’ve never seen it. I don’t know when the status was updated just noticed it few minutes ago.

Just glad they are not sending back the application again

Please let me know what they say if you call them.

Hi All. I just finally got through the CIC call and the agent i spoke with checked my information and mentioned that "there is no record of my application as yet on their system". He also mentioned not to worry as he said that they processing officials did not probably get to my application as yet. I mentioned about my husband's status being reflected online (no AOR yet!) and he said that my husband will need to call to find out the information. He asked me to follow up again within a months time.
Secondly, i also checked for my daughter's status (My husband, Daughter and me applied at the same time and the applications were sent within the same envelope). The agent could not find her application either.

Secondly, following up on another thread - i asked about my PR status in terms of renewal considering my upcoming travel and he said that i should be able to apply for a PR extension without any challenges (it takes 16 days from the date of receipt of the application to complete the PR card renewal!)

Hoping for a AOR soon. I will update once i receive mine..
