What a painful process to get Citizenship. Two months just to let us know that our application has been received is a brutal joke. There is no consistency at all and the excuses IRCC comes up with are good for nothing.

Yes agree with you. Its a painful process.

From which email id we get AOR

What's the urgency of getting citizenship? You are not under heavy restriction similar to when you applied for PR (changing jobs, moving out of province, going on vacation, your permit expiring). It is a much more straight forward process. You can travel freely. With a Nexus, you clear customs faster than the average Canadian without Nexus.

All applications are different and they're being processed by people not machines. Therein lies the variations. They told you 12 months average, that's consistent enough. Enough with the complaints and bickering. Give them some credits.

The urgency to get Citizenship is a very subjective issue. If i find it painful, i got reasons for it. Now if some are really calm and content with the things going on in their lives, kudos to them. I for one vent out by speaking against things i do not like, even if it makes no impact. We the applicants need to know what really is going on with this department and i have a extremely good source to extract some information about the working of this department.

Hi guys! I just wanted to ask if my citizenship application has to be sent in a Canada Post envelope or I can use any kind of envelope for that?

I'm with the ranters on this thread. My issue is not with the 12 months processing time either. It is how one sends in their application into what seems like a blackhole. 2.5 months after I sent in my application, I'm yet to hear a peep from IRCC. It would actually be nice to get a "Received" email which can then be followed by an eventual "all is good" AOR. The "Received" email would definitely help calm people like me who'd like to know that their application was actually received and wasn't lost or forgotten.

Yeah. Absolutely. It should be a sigh of relief rather than making it difficult for us to speculate hypotheticals.
