As of March 17, 2021, im a PR of canada for 10 years. i was still a minor when i was eligible to apply for the citizenship but, my parents didnt want to apply back then and would rather wait until they turn 55 because they were concerned about the test & interview. LOL

For any parents here with minor children, please dont be like my parents. Send in your applications as soon as you are eligible, so your kids becomes naturalized while they still can.

Hello friends. My wife submitted her Online Citizenship test on March 1st and today we received fingerprint request for her for the second time.. So does that mean her test results were officially accepted. Btw she scored 19/20 but she forgot to take her PR card picture before the test. But later she sent her PR card through webform. Its strange that her fingerprint request came from IRCC Vancouver. Our visa office is Scarborough. Please advise. Thank you.

@Syed07283 Yeah the requests come from different offices.
It is normal for the FP request to come after or close to the test date. Possibly the one submitted earlier got expired, more than one year.
There is no official communication that a test has been accepted, but if they need more information like ID or an interview, that you will get an email.

It is very normal to get FP request after the test. FP request is linked with criminality clearances, which expires in 1 year. They would have to get a new one done if it is beyond that time frame just to clear everything again. If there is anything wrong with the test - in your case the ID photo not taken, they will let you know via email or maybe phone call Everything in your case is right on track

No it's very case dependant.

Not sure if anyone posted this but, IRCC's website is update today (March 24) regarding their processing timeline.

If you HAVE NOT received your AOR: - They are now sending AORs to applications received on the Week of January 21, 2021.
If you HAVE received your AOR: "We are currently finalizing most applications received between Mar 31, 2019 to April 6, 2019"

Would like to update that my wife got her test invite via email dtd 3rd March. Test window was from 5th MArch to 25th Marvh. She did the tes today and cleared the same. We are awaiting the official confirmation.
Kepp a close watch on your emails as we did not notice the invite till 20th March as it was from a new email ID. There are serious consequences if you miss responding to the invite.

FP is valid only for 1 year. Regardless of the test result one has to send the second fingerprint if it is expired and your application is still in progress with IRCC.

edit: our applications are routine applications - purely delayed for a year because of COVID.

Just wanted to know what documents were requested before the interview. The same ones we submit at the time of the application or something new. Would appreciate your feedback..

Just full copy of passports - with stamps translated by certified translator. Nothing else.

Could you please share how long did it take you to get the passport stamps translated? What agency did you use?
I was not requested for this, but asking just in case as it may be useful.
