Can you let us know what they said to identify/verify themselves as IRCC employees? There seems to be a fair amount of scams going on right now.

What are the chances that the scammer knows that you have applied for citizenship and not for PR card renewal or student visa? If scammer knows then that means scammer knows other things about you too.

Not necessarily, data's are separated into two forms that is classified and non classified. Non classified info is readily available through call centers only the classified infos with IRCC officers.

If there is a breach in call centre level where you call the agent to get some info about your case. Call centre reps they don't have all your info only very little info about your case.

its a same way how they know you apply tax every year through CRA.

Scammers don't even have to go that far, they can just say "I'm from IRCC, before we get started, can you confirm personal details for security reasons..."

Yep! If anything else, I would ask for the name and agent # before I divulged any information.

The same here, passed the citizenship test in Oct 30 Montreal office. Still in process. IRCC said that nothing to be done, just wait till they resume their work.

Montreal was indeed the slowest among the offices, i did my test last November but until now no invitation for oath ceremony.

Now i have a feeling the call was a scam. Well they did ask her to verify only her DOB and no other info was asked. They had her application info about the date of previous oath ceremony date etc. And discussed if she can do ceremony over zoom and knows how to use it etc. The lady mentioned that she will email her all the details shortly but it has been 2.5 days now and my wife did not receive any emails.

Did anyone else who got the call receive an email?

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 30, 2019.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on July 16, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on September 6, 2019.
4. We sent you a notice on October 10, 2019 to appear and write the citizenship test on November 6, 2019 at 8:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Hi, I have ordered the GCMS notes and found that the Assessments were as follow:

knowledge: Passed
Residence: Not started
Language: Passed
Prohibition: Not started
Security:
Criminality: Passed
Oath: Not started

I applied in April 2019 and cleared the test in October 2019 in Calgary and have never received any updates since then. The GCMS informations show that my file is stuck in residence, security and prohibition. Any idea what is going on? I have exceeded 14 months already. Any help in how to explain this please? Thanks

I also had my test on Jan 15 and ordered GCMS notes which had everything as passed except "security" which was blank. I just checked ecas now and my application status is set to decision made. Check your case to see if any changes have been made.

Nothing from my side except my application status changes to decision made a couple of weeks back. I cleared the exam in early March and waiting for oath now.
