Got my eligibility requirements met letter (I think this is AIP?) and sponsor approval today as a late April applicant.

Sent application - 27-Apr
AOR - 1-Jun
Medical request - 24-Sep
Medical done - 25-Sep
Sponsor approval - 14-Jan
AIP? - 14-Jan

Seems to be moving right along.

Apr13 applicant here.
Yesterday we got eligibility passed emails for me PA and my husband - the sponsor. Is this the AIP?

I can not understand the difference between security and background check, either? If someone clarify it would be appreciated.

May I ask you, which country the applicant came from?

May I ask what is the date for your Medical Passed on ECAS or myCIC?

Congrats. USA applicants always seem to get through quickly ☺

Well, some January applicants just got their AIP. So for us, nothing to worried until April.
When I called today thEy did say they were working on Jan 10 applicants. That gives me hope but at the same time it’s still getting depressing ( but pleasing lol) to see April applicants who were after me getting AIP. I’m happy for them of course but it's Our time now too lol. I hope I’m not stuck in that queue where it’s only Jan applicants being processed now lol

I think they're working based on Medical passed date. For example, a guy here got AIP last week. He is Apr 27 applicant but his medical was done on Oct 2.

It base on medical request days… usually it's same day bgc starts for most people…

Mine since medical update, on GCkey, nothing changes, only at the ECAS said, We started processing your case on December 19, 2018.
I think they might take applicants of two months in one processing time - Dec 19, not sure 100% but there're many ppl here have their application started processing on Dec 18,19
