Hi all - just received medical today. They received my application on April 18. AOR was May 17. My medical appointment is set in North york for October 7. Once medical is completed, how soon can I apply for OHIP and how soon will I receive COPR followed by the actual PR card?
Only after you receive approval in principal or you are working full time for 6 months

Update:
I did the xray and another blood and urine test yesterday. The urine test was extra so i'm not sure how do break down the cost but here it goes:
170 for the first physical exam, blood test, eye exam and urine test. 55 for xrays and 48 for the other blood test and additional urine test that the Dr. ordered.
So $273 in total.

I posted this before realizing it was already answered before.

According to the document we were sent...
"Four recent photographs. You will need to bring these only if the doctor you select from the list of panel physicians does not work with IRCC via the eMedical system. Please check with the doctor’s office when you book your appointment "

My Dr. is a panel physician so I didn't have to bring photos, they just took them on the spot.
If I were you I'd give them a call in advance just to be sure.

I did my medicals last week in Toronto and all depends of the doctor that you are going. In the clinic that I choose they ask you for 1 photo even that they will send all the results via e medical

I still haven't received my medical exam results but in my background check section it says "we are processing your background check". My understanding was they only start working on the background checks around 3 months after the medical request. Is this the norm or am I just lucky?

Medical took about an hour and fifteen mins at North York. Did some light tapping on my stomach, bloodwork and X-ray. 240 bucks in total. Highly unprofessional staff and somewhat rude. Doctor couldn’t find my vein when taking my blood and said the following “I can’t find your vein but I think this is it so I will go in anyways...” I mean which doctor says that to the patient before taking blood? Can’t find the vein but I’m going to try? Come on. These ladies all need to learn some respect and decency when talking to patients. Doctors and especially the receptionists.

My background check status also started when I got the medical request. But I believe this is when they start it? Not too sure! Maybe someone can weigh in on this!
