April 2018 - Citizenship Applicant

Hello everybody, I applied from Toronto, April 2018 and I am still waiting for the test invitation. Is it normal? I've called them and they said I just have to be patient. The thing is that my PR expires in September. What should I do? any suggestion? should I apply now to renew my PR since the website is saying the process time is 104 days but at this point I don't believe them. It's been 7 months since my application was processed and it was supposed to be 5 months.

My timeline:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 26, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on June 19, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on July 18, 2018.

They didn't mention in my application when they started processing it. Is that normal?

The only info I have on ecas is:
1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 11, 2018.

Hi Fouadi,

Yes. As per appointment notice, if I pass the citizenship test/interview, meet all the requirement, and my file is approved, I will receive an invitation to attend the Citizenship Ceremony on March 25th at 12:30 PM. My test invite is scheduled on March 25th at 8:15AM.

We had our test on Tuesday 26th February in Vancouver and we have decision made as of today! Just waiting for invitation to attend the oath ceremony now! Could you please update the spreadsheet? Good luck to all - soon to be fellow Canadian citizens.
