Congratz.... when did u receive ghost update ?

So finally I was able to call them and I was informed that my background check has been started and its in Progress and they don't need any additional documents from me. My case being processed in Montreal .
He asked me to wait till Sep end which will be 6 months.
My online status still shows "we will update you when we start your background process" .
Hi ... did you ask about eligibility pass specifically and did he say if it was pass or not. Montreal seems to take 6 months deadline seriously. But good to know he told you that background check has started. If you don't mind can you also post your time line on Montreal specific thread here https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...-lets-connect-here.575300/page-5#post-7176997

Please can someone advise. I have passed medical test and background check still in process. My husband is the principal applicant and he just passed away. If am being requested to send our passport with 4 kids. I hope the visa would not be rejected as he is the principal applicant. Your thoughts on what to do please.

CIC clearly mentions to update them in case of the death of principal applicant. I don't think your application can be processed without principal applicant being alive. Pls get a lawyer and take professional help.
