Please can someone advise. I have passed medical test and background check still in process. My husband is the principal applicant and he just passed away. If am being requested to send our passport with 4 kids. I hope the visa would not be rejected as he is the principal applicant. Your thoughts on what to do please.

Finally got the PPR email today. Timeline below

ITA - 25th April 2018
AOR - 26th April 2018
IP1 - 2nd May 2018
MEP - 3rd May 2018
IP2 - 3rd Aug 2018
PPR - 21st Aug 2018

Ordered GCMS notes 13th July and received 8th Aug dated 13th July. Not sure if that helped me move to IP2.
Congrats @patel1 .....Its good to know someone with AOR 26 April got PPR. I have the same AOR with you. So you mentioned that you got your GCMS notes, hence, I would like to know if:
1) Your VO was Montreal
2) If the GCMS notes showed that your eligibility was started. If yes, was it started at the CIO or at your VO?

Please let me know so I can make some inference with regards to my application.

Thanks and once more, Congratulations!!!

Thanks. My initial VO was Vegreville, AB. Notes say my eligibility check started at CIO after MEP.

Hi ... did you ask about eligibility pass specifically and did he say if it was pass or not. Montreal seems to take 6 months deadline seriously. But good to know he told you that background check has started. If you don't mind can you also post your time line on Montreal specific thread here https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/montreal-visa-office-lets-connect-here.575300/page-5#post-7176997
Did not ask about Eligibility Pass. I assumed that my Med is passed and now once background check is in progress this all will contribute to my eligibility criteria.
Updated the forum you mentioned

Please help!!!!
I get AOR at April 27, but last weekend I noticed I made a mistake in my application. For the question "Have you even been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada, or any other country". I provided "No" as me answer in the application. However, I had received a rejection at the first time when I was applying US travel Visa. but I got approval on the second and third time apply. I went to US few times for traveling.
I have already submitted an "letter of explanation" through Web form on Sunday. The agent told me my BGC is still in progress. and it takes about 5-10 business days for them to receive my letter.

Anyone has the same issue before? I was sooooo worried. I don't want to get a refuse and I don't want to get banned for 5 yrs.

Please give me some advise! Anyone has similar experience before?

Thanks!!!!!

Its a pity you just found out about the mistake in your application. It can really upset your peace of mind as you don't know what the officer might be thinking. However, I can say that generally, the VO's are not that bad persons (although there are still terrible ones) who want to refuse applications.

Not declaring your US visa refusal might or might not pose enough "material issue" to your PR application that will warrant either a refusal or ban. I think that at the worst case scenario, the visa officer should contact you with a "procedural fairness" which you have to answer within the specified time. So, you have a chance to clear yourself.

Having said that, I do not think that your initial US visa refusal will result to any negative stuff (since you weren't refused due to any criminal issue or the likes) and given that you were subsequently issued the visa and have even visited a couple of times makes it a whole lot easier.

Just be positive (pray if you do) and relax. You should be fine.
