The largest migrants in my opinion for centuries will be Italians...Hehehe! Pinoys are the 3rd largest migrants in Canada, if I'm not mistaken, after the Chinese and Indians.
While we wait for the mail. Just out of curiosity. If suppose the PPR comes by July.
1. When are you planning to land and which province/city are you planning to go.
2. It will help to know about the Non Ontario options and name of cities where we can start our new innings of life.
I am planning for September '2018. Currently planning for Ontario/Mississauga as I know someone there.
My husband and I initially intended to move to Toronto but then reconsidered and decided to settle in Ottawa as it seems to be a safer choice in terms of cost of living and also because we have an 18 months old child and that based on everything we've read, Ottawa offers a better quality of life for a family. Another reason is that my husband and I both speak French and English fluently which can be a greater advantage in Ottawa than Toronto. But then, the most determinant factor once we get there is wherever we are able to get decent jobs. Canada is a huge country and I'm pretty sure you can enjoy life in any city as long as you have a job that can offer you a minimum of comfort. We don't know anybody in Canada outside of Montreal. If we really had a choice, we would settle in beautiful Vancouver
We hope we'll be able to move in September 2018.

See the 2 bustling metropolises are Toronto and Vancouver. Vancouver is more scenic but on the contrary is an expensive place to live as well.
You can look at Montreal, Quebec, the challenge there however that you may have to learn French....
@write2rtd & @canadalife1234 can guide you on their experience in Nova Scotia...
Alberta as a province is big on O&G opportunities but not sure how does does it fare these days...

read about it on this forum several times - consensus seems to be yes, hiring is slow during Q4.Quick question, a friend of mine who’s in Canada now told me that hiring is very slow in the months of Oct Nov Dec. Offices usually start recruitment Jan onwards there.
Is that true ?
