Background check says "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." so from nabsk's above info I'm IP2? Does IP2 mean that most of the checks across the board are done and I have a good chance of getting it, or is it just another stage and it can still be refused? Thanks so much for the above info nabsk, super helpful.

Ok so you are technically in IP2, what you can you make out of this... NOTHING...
For you to know the status of your application, you should look at calling IRCC (+1-888-242-2100 for Canada and +1 613 944 4000 from outside Canada)
or order GCMS notes from:
-https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/(if you are residing in Canada)
-Getgcms.com or gcmsbuddy.com(if you are residing out of Canada, you will need to pay)

-Status of your criminality - Completed, Passed or not yet, when was it passed

Just thought I update you all. Received a refusal letter yesterday from IRCC for wrong NOC. This is even after getting RPRF request in June from them and paid.

AOR April 10. FSWO

Just thought I let you all know that refusals are real. Never really believed in them because of the way they issue PPRs. Guess I was wrong. Now I and my family have to decide if we write to them to reopen our application with the right NOC. Will that work?
Or just reapply again? But all the fees involved, do we have to do Medicals again for this new application? Then we have biometrics to think about too come July 31. We're all sad. :(:(

Did you match your roles and responsibilities with the most appropriate NOC? Why was it wrong?

My employer doesn't issue reference letters. So I had just my letter of employment to use. I guess that didn't satisfy them. I'm not asking what happened? I'm asking what I can do to salvage this? :(

I've entered the pool again, good thing is our scores are still high so fingers crossed for ITA tomorrow. But it's just so much work gathering documents to reapply.

Just sharing my case as I am in similar situation.
My application was refused for missing job duties in reference letter. I provided updated reference letter through web form but received a reply after 10 business days that they can not add information to an application which has been refused. I had also sent an email to CPC Ottawa with updated reference letter but they never responded.
Now I have contacted my local MP and they are communicating to CIC on my behalf, not sure if that will help though. If I get a negative response from there too then only I will enter the pool again. Atleast I won’t regret that I didn’t try.

So sorry to learn that, I have a friend who is in a dilemma as she worked in multiple companies and got many verification letters from her different employers. Each time the position had different responsibilities but her Bachelors, Masters and her longest employment of 4 years fall under the same NOC category.
For both 1) previous internship and 2) current employment, her verification letters do not have job responsibilities included in those letters that is submitted with her application. Partly, because she did not want to tell her current employer and her internship company cannot provide it as it was long back. Is this a serious concern? She has not received any update about it from IRCC yet and have been waiting in IP2 since last two weeks. Do you suggest her to upload it asap?
