Congrats to you too! Hopefully before Xmas!

I hadn't checked since Thursday (was busy all day Friday). So I looged in to GCKey and the Final Decision line says "Approved - see messages below for details".

We're super excited!

However, below there are no messages, and we have no emails. Any idea what the message might be? I plan on calling Monday to find out what it could be.

Before on my gckey it stated: "Review of medical results - You passed the medical exam."
Today this status changed to: "Review of medical results - You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes."

Does anyone have any idea or thoughts as to what this change might mean???
Thanks!

hopefully just a glitch. Call on Monday if it hasn't changed back before then. There also looks like they are doing some maintenance Tuesday AM between 3 and 5am approx

Hello, I just got an email from the government asking me to send my passport and some documents to a VAC and that I would get it back within 90 working days. In case I do not need a visa, only send a picture of the passport. Does that mean that my application is pretty much completed? And does it usually take up all that 90 days or usually much faster?

Since my wife is in a country(Japan) that can come to Canada without visa(90 days max I think) does that mean I can only send the pictures of the passport?
Also, it is my understanding that once you get a permanent resident card that you don't need a visa anymore but at which point am I to get that card?

Apparently I will have to pay another 100$ to the VAC for their services... these service fees are really starting to pile up huh...

Everyone applying from outside Canada has to use a VAC even if no Visa needed? Is that the final step? finally?

Sorry, that's a lot of questions, but would appreciate any input.

Ok will do; thanks for your response!

I know that the submitted medical exam expired on Dec. 13th .....do you think it might have something to do with that...?
I'm just wondering if there's a connection there. Like are they going to ask to re-submit the medical exam or be kind and forgo that request lol
Thanks!

Ahhh.. could be. I'm not sure. It's unfortunate but they probably will ask for a new set of medicals. I would just wait for the request.

They have acknowledgement and receipt since 23 October 2017 but i didnt hear anything from officers. Pls how can i check my status?. I will like to hear from you

Today officially marks 8 months since application received. And bgc still says "not applicable." Just great.
