Hello, I just got an email from the government asking me to send my passport and some documents to a VAC and that I would get it back within 90 working days. In case I do not need a visa, only send a picture of the passport. Does that mean that my application is pretty much completed? And does it usually take up all that 90 days or usually much faster?
Since my wife is in a country(Japan) that can come to Canada without visa(90 days max I think) does that mean I can only send the pictures of the passport?
Also, it is my understanding that once you get a permanent resident card that you don't need a visa anymore but at which point am I to get that card?
Apparently I will have to pay another 100$ to the VAC for their services... these service fees are really starting to pile up huh...
Everyone applying from outside Canada has to use a VAC even if no Visa needed? Is that the final step? finally?
Sorry, that's a lot of questions, but would appreciate any input.
