Sorry I didn't understand your post entirely. But yes being redirected to other VO is strictly because of the backlog at most VOs. Hopefully you guys get approved soon. All the best :)
I was concerned that transfer to NY is going to cause further delay in getting approved. Based on the timeline, I was expecting an approval by the end of the month or sometime in November.

I am at the slowest VO (LONDON) and I was hoping for the same. I think the backlog has caused a lot of delays in otherwise straightforward cases. Hopefully you get DM this month :)

Hi everyone,

I am very happy today as my wife received her passport back with her visa and copr. I just can't wait to see her. Good luck to everyone as the day will come and the feeling is just second to none. :D:p;):)
This is it Oulrish! I'm happy for you and your wife ... God bless always

Hi everybody.

I'm wondering if anyone could give me any insight about my timeline, how close we might be to background check starting/decision being made?

10 April - AOR1
18 May - medical request (completed and submitted immediately)
20 May - SA
20 Sept - request for Schedule A/police checks (schedule A submitted immediately)
22 Sept - informed that case has been passed to Vienna office
6 Oct - police checks submitted (to Vienna office)

I have two questions - does being informed that our documents have moved to Vienna count as AOR2, or will this be a separate email?

Secondly, does anybody have any idea how long it normally takes from submitting Schedule A and police checks until they start the background check?

I haven't been able to link our account online (possibly the most frustrating part of the whole process) so all correspondence is by email.

Any insights would be really really appreciated! I think we're close to decision made but would love any further thoughts...

Thanks a lot

Rob

Thank you. I was freaking out for the last 10 minutes! I was just assuming it means they want an interview which is not a problem except for the cost of having to visit NY. I thought the process was coming to an end as there were no hiccups (other than the online account being broken).
Haha I was too when I got that email, they've already requested my husbands Passport and our GC Key was updated today and his PR has been approved. You will definitely hear something within the next few days. Good Luck!

Hello seniors,

Just a quick question, is there any implications on the sponsorship case if someone is laid off and goes on EI - employment insurance? The sponsorship approval is already done though. Is it safe to go on EI ? Btw yes my company was downsizing and unfortunately thats what they had to do. Its okay my finances are good but would like to know if its safe for me to apply for EI without affecting our case plus do i need to inform CIC at all ?

Thanks guys
And congrats to all the happy faces :))

Congratulations!! That's awesome.
How long after the transfer email did they request for the passport?

When did you get your passport request? Did your application get transferred to NY after you got DM?

At what stage of processing did your application get transferred to NY?

I'm guessing the background check stage. We submitted medicals after they asked for it. A week later it was updated as Passed and this was last month. Currently it says no interview or biometrics required. I don't know if it will change. It's a straightforward application so I'd be really surprised if they ask for an interview.

Oh ok. Good luck to you! I'm also from New York and currently being processed in Mississauga so was just wondering.
