Hahahaha well well... me and my hubby linked our application now! Thanks much Oulrish and Marrianne for helping me to figure it out!

My timeline is:
Application sent: April 3, 2017
Application received: April 5, 2017
PA AOR received: May 17, 2017
Sponsorship confirmation: May 18, 2017
Spousal Approval: waiting

Well thats what I thought.

they said application missing valid passport for applicant and accompanyinh child. At the time application was sent PA son did not have a passport. I told him he will need it ASAP to do medical so they went in April to get childs passport and he renewed his at the same time since it would expire May 2018. I just receive email of copies of passport and will mail application back tomorrow.

I also got his PCC and Schd A when I was visiting 1st week of May so I will include that in the package as well. or should I wait?

Yes I would go ahead and submit the PCC up front that way they attach it to your file right away. We even included Schedule A but they requested a replacement anyways.

Package delivered this morning 8am..

STEPS TO LINK APPLICATION TO ONLINE ACOUNT:
First go through attached pdf in AOR sent to PA.
1. PA need to Log in with GCKey account
2. Permanent Residence - Family Class (Spouses)
3. Application Number and Last Name - PA
4. City of Birth - PA
5. Country of Birth - PA
6. Passport Details - PA
7. Provide details as per form - Province, City and marital status and put '2' as the number of members in the application , if PA is only person being sponsored. Refer attached pdf in AOR for the exact number you need to fill in.
8. Click on the 'Search for my application' tab
9. Then on 'Link my application' tab

Call CIC they can search your application by Receipt Number,, Courier tracking number or Name and DOB. thats what I did yesterday and they confirmed package was returned, when I got home it was in the mail box.


Hopefully they were just slow on processing application and you will received AOR shortly.

I called the CIC call centre again today to inquire about the request email that was supposedly sent out May 14th as per ECAS status. I had also previously sent a technical issue report through Webform but unfortunately my spouse never received the email.

So today's agent advised me to send the documents through the Webform instead of waiting to hear from the IT team and causing more delays on my application. I just uploaded the Schedule A form and the PCC through Webform and hopefully everything goes through successfully.

Hey - which webform did you use? the IRCC link in your signature? Our ECA says they requested additional information as of May 18th but there's nothing in our emails. Wondering if we should do the same.

Yes, there’s only one Webform. The one link in my signature should bring you there.

I would suggest calling the call centre first and explaining the situation to them. Then ask them if you can and should upload the requested documents. Also enquire if they can verify which documents were requested.

Yet again they might also tell you to wait it out since it’s been only one day. Either way try calling them first.

Finally! I've managed to link my application.
For anyone having similar issues, I did the following:
I chose surname, first name and date of birth.
Surname: full surname of applicant
Given name: first name and middle name
Date of birth
Town of birth: entered as it is on app
Country of birth: England
Left the passport details blank
Put in where we planned on moving to in Canada.
Putting 2 in the number of people worked for me even though 3 has worked for others. Our son is a Canadian citizen though so I don't know if that makes a difference.

We also received a letter yesterday asking to link schedule a and submit photos.
