I followed the steps that has seemed to work for a lot of people on here:

Permanent Residence > Family Class (Common-law partner)
Family name, given name, date of birth
City of birth - only entered one space here
Country of birth - PA's country of birth
Passport info - Didn't include anything
Other info - Filled out application info as we did on form IMM008 except we put '2' as the # of family members (we have no dependents)

Canadian citizens sponsoring their spouse or common law partner while residing outside of Canada must provide proof that they intend to return to Canada with the applicant when the applicant receives PR.

My question is, what documents have you all been using provide as proof? Please if anyone can provide some advise I would really appreciate it. I have been trying to get this question answered but the forum is being dominated by other questions.

February 10 2017 - sent CIC my forms
March 17 2017 - returned due to incorrect document
April 7 2017 - resubmitted spousal forms
May 2 2017 - still waiting for Aor1

My question is, what documents have you all been using provide as proof? Please if anyone can provide some advise I would really appreciate it. I have been trying to get this question answered but the forum is being dominated by other questions.

Mine was easy because when I return to Canada I will be finishing up my degree. I just showed a re-admission letter from the university and a housing application waitlist.

Do you have a job offer back in Canada? Studying something? Where will you initially stay when you return? Family? If so, maybe have them write letters saying that you have been in contact with them stating your intent to return to Canada with your spouse and they have agreed to let you temporarily stay with them until you find a place. If you had such conversations via email or text you can include the emails/texts as well.

Just some ideas. I was lucky because in my case, a letter from university and a housing application waitlist clearly show intent to return.

I submitted docs as per checklist but will recommend you call CIC @ 1888-242-2100 select option 2 press 1 then press 1 and 0 to speak to an agent. Hope they will address all your questions.

I didn't find this instruction anymore. Am I just blind?
The schedule A only asks for personal history meaning employment and addresses you lived at, correct?

No worries, from Dec2016(New Application) travel history is requested through a Supplementary form(imm5562e), seems to be country specific requirements.
check out on CIC website by selecting your country

You are correct, I managed to get them on the phone and they mentioned the same thing. Guess we keep waiting.
