Hello good people, got an update for you, since i cant update the spreadsheet myself:

Nov21 Received fingerprinting request (additional docs)
Dec05 Sent fingerprints doc (received from RCMP) to London via FedEx

Expected to arrive to LVO Dec 7 (and not expecting them to update the online status any time soon to let us know they were received...
I'm thinking DM is next, wish us luck!

My husband's application is currently in process buy immigration asked to provide documents on my intention of living in Toronto once the application is approved because I've been living with him outside Canada. What documents can I provide since its hard to provide anything :(

I do not think it will change those already in the system much. Really for outland app's it really has not changed much at all.

No, they never asked for her passport. However, when we first filed our app, we needed her somali passport on file.

They asked me to book a flight for her because her travel document will be valid only for that particular flight on that particular date.

I thought the VO tells the applicants to contact IOM in Ottawa in order to pay the travel arrangement and receive the exit permit. We paid through IOM for airline tickets and exit permit arrangement as well.

Did you contact the IOM?

hi
just got an email from the VO asking me to send some documents. i just want to know how do i have to answer them ?
1) by clic on answer on their own email ?
or
2) creat a new email and send it

thanks

Our application is also in the Paris VO, but also handled by the Algeria office in the Canadian Embassy in Algiers.
The interview was in Algiers.
Anyway, when we received an email asking to resubmit one document, the email also said there should be an
attachment to that email, and if there was no attachment to contact them by reply.

There was an attachment, and the attachement was another letter which more clearly spelled out which
document they wanted resubmitted AND also provided an email address to send it to, which in our case
was an email address for the Algiers office of Canada Immigration / Embassy.

So, I would suggest checking your email again carefully. They sent our email in French, when our application
for both of us said Language of Preference English.
I used Google Translate, if that is an issue for you, you should try Google Translate.
Check again for an attachment and specific instructions of how to reply.

Salutations distinguées,

So your email says to send it to the Paris office. Our request was to send it to the Immig Officer in Algiers, probably because my husband had an interview requirement which was in Algiers.

I would use the email address they sent their email from, and create a new email so that there's no confusion.
VERY IMPORTANT to include the File Number and applicant's name IN BOTH the Subject and the top of the body of the email.

If that doesn't work, try this email address. We had to send a letter to the Paris office via email and this address worked for us:

paris-immigration@international.gc.ca

paris-immigration@international.gc.ca

Good Luck.

Just wondering if you had already submitted the travel form and a copy of the passport bio page with your initial application or no? Also what kind/how much proof of communication did you send initially? Even though its a hassle, the fact they are asking for more documents from you means they are working on your file :)
