I really hope no news is good news! I haven't heard from them since aor2 in June..
Did they ask you for additional docs?

They asked us for more proof that my husband wants to move back and we have given what we thought is enough but now I worry as we don't have any job or ties in there yet obviously and I worry they will deny now saying it wasn't enough proof

No, they didnt. But i did send them money transfer receipts after i saw in the notes "PA did not receive any money from Sponsor". I freaked out, and i immediatly send them money transfer receipts. Luckly, i ordered the notes. Otherwise, i would have never known this was written on our file ( e.g no money sent biggest red flag ever).

we dont have jobs or ties there. we just showed our plan and some emails between realtors and potential jobs and they accepted that, so hold on!

We added as proof just printed jobs that my husband would apply for but obviously wouldn’t apply and go now without me, and printed adveerts f houses/flats we would be interested if going now. Going through Warsaw VO

I got PPR today!!!!


I was supposed to visit my wife for a month (next month), i was suppose to come back alone. But now WE WILL COME BACK TOGETHER. Finally, we could start our lives together in 2017. Praise be to GOD.

Salaan sare, saaxiib. Which registered courier service are you using? And is it from Nairobi?

My wife was asked for her PPR on Nov. 25th. She inquired the DHL office in Eastleigh, but they told her that they can only deliver the passport, but not pick the passport when it is ready. They said only one DHL office has that capability and it is located at downtown Nairobi.

I would appreciate to let me know which registered courier that has prepaid coupon service you are going to use and where it is location is.

Wanku salamay walal, my wife's passport is not recognzied by the canadian government. Therefore, they will issue her visa on a single journey travel document. Our VO sent me an email asking me to pay for my wife's flight as they are ready to issue her the visa. So, i dont need to send them anything. Once i pay for her flight, i will send them a copy of her confirmed e-ticket. Then, our VO will contact their collegues in hargeisa (where my wife lives) and ask them to take a picture of my wife and attach it to her travel document. And voila, she will be ready to fly.

No, they never asked for her passport. However, when we first filed our app, we needed her somali passport on file.

No, they never asked for her passport. However, when we first filed our app, we needed her somali passport on file.

They asked me to book a flight for her because her travel document will be valid only for that particular flight on that particular date.

She sent her passport today via DHL. The Soomaalis who worked at the DHL office said that travel document will be returned with the passport. I guess they will issue the travel document by themselves.

They did not. I read our GCMS notes and our VO wrote down a short text that they were satisfied with our proof/genuine relationship and had no mentions whatsoever of our red flags. They got one date wrong; I hear this happens a lot, but it was completely irrelevant so that's alright! (the year I became a resident in Romania).

Normally I would need a transit visa, but it says if I come and go by air, leave on the same day and I hold a visa for Canada, then I "might" be eligible for transit without visa. This "might" concerns me. Is it a.. yep.. or a maybe..? Any help would be appreciated!

When it comes to layover ,you can transit through one European country without visa but if have to stop in another European country you will need a transit visa unless you have a European passport that you wouldn't need it. I had this happen to someone I know and they wouldn't let her go through because she was only permanent resident In Canada . Do your research it will help you
