Waiting. Got AOR2 from Warsaw on July 8. Started processing application on June 28. Applied for GCMS notes on July 8. Now I feel I applied for notes too soon. Should have waited for another week or ten days. Will know in another 2-3 weeks.

keep calling, ours was long too! have your Sponsor call, the same happened with us, and apparently there was something about the sponsor signing a piece of paper declaring he lives outside of canada, when actually everywhere else we had said he lives in canada, and so he had to reconfirm he lives in canada blah blah.

but yeah as soona s we did that within two weeks we got our SA,

the bad thing is they didnt even contact us to tell us something was wrong, so i advise KEEP CALLIING

is it worth to apply for the GCMS notes. my application got transferred to abu dhabi visa office. and started processing on june 19. Do you guys think i should apply for gcms notes ?

Oh yes. Definitely worth applying for GCMS notes. Lets you know the status and also notes that are made on your file. I applied for GCMS notes every month when my PR was in process and now started for my wife's application.

yes, to request the entire elecontronic file (not just the sponsorship file - that is only the sponsor's application) you need your wife to sign the consent form. she can scan and email it to you.

Received the passport back today!!
So the expiry is written as 2017/10/01. I'm hoping this means January 10 and not Oct. 1. Do you guys know?
I may have to email the Rome VO to ask.

I *think* it's usually written as year/day/month. what date was your medical done? the expiry date usually lines up with the 1 year date of your medicals, or it could have been extended a bit. the expiry year is 2017, so neither date seems like an issue... they both give you plenty of time to land.

OH the medical exam myth. Our medical was done April 12 2016. Far from the date of expiration but a week before we sent our application. I sent them an email to make sure. Hopefully they reply soon. We've got to look at flights.

Oh yeah, you're right about the 2017 thing. I was worrying for nothing. LOL I'm really bad with names, dates, and math.

um, it's not a myth. if the date is past the 1 year of your exam, then obviously they were extended to help you land. i would then assume your expiry date is january 10, 2016. i doubt your medicals would be extended until october 2017.

My medical was done April 12 2016 so the expiry should be April 2017. Not January 10 2017. Nothing was extended.
