Sponsorship
1.We received your application to sponsor__________ on April 22, 2016.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May 12, 2016.
3.We started processing your application on May 11, 2016.

This is so amazing! ;D

Does this means that my sponsor has been approved? Thanks!

Edit: Oh based on what I read prolly not yet. Not until the PA side says "IN PROCESS". Oh well so what does this means then? like you just have an access on sponsor's side?

Anyone else having to apply for a Certificat de sélection du Québec? I can't seem to figure out the waiting time exactly, but I thought it was about a month, or so.
Does anyone know? And how do they even tell you? We never had to submit a mailing address or e-mail to them, so I figured they'd know through CIC. I'm worried, since we've just recently moved.

Got my CSQ in less than a month..You will just have to apply and wait for it in the mail..Thats the only way to know

When pa side goes in process or when pa gets a line saying we started processing. ...then means u got sa dear

Oh that's sad! All of those lines and still no SA. Thanks for the clarification, Johnybegood. Now that I can finally sign in via sponsors side only, I'll be checking daily. I'll update when I see "in process".

Another question is..as what is stated in his address..Winnipeg, Alberta nakaindicate s ECAS instead of Winnipeg, Manitoba? Do we need to update that? Will it affect the status of our application?

Just update it a while ago..however it says that we have to wait for 15 days to take effect.. We're planning to call CIC by tomorrow just to ensure that they haven't mailed a letter for SA in Alberta instead of Mannitoba..thank you..

So I have a questions which may seem silly or obvious but I want to make sure for this passport request. I pasted part of the email below. Does it mean that I (Canadian citizen) also have to photocopy my passport for them? I will be accompanying him as we're moving together. Thanks!

We require a VALID passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be submitted together. There must be at least two blank visa pages in each passport. If there are children included in your passport there must be a blank visa page for each of them.
