My notes definitely seem to imply that the CIC is capable of processing eligibility/criminality/security within only a few days, providing that there isn't anything that causes a delay. Also, they started the criminality portion before eligibility.
Something else I found interesting is that the voluntary withdrawal (referenced as "Allowed to Leave" in my notes) was in fact recorded in FOSS, even though the CBSA officer who gave it to me said there would be no record. I figured she was either lying to me or misinformed (more likely lying, because she said that it was only to satisfy her supervisor that she let me go). That whole ordeal wasn't even typical of the CBSA. She could have just given me a 3-day visitor record, but instead she seized my passport, told me to come back in three days, and handed me a voluntary withdrawal as I was leaving.
That mistake on my GCMS notes regarding my visitor status still bugs me, but I doubt it'll cause any issues for me when I'm landing. Should I bring a copy of my visitor extension fee receipt when I land? I'm on implied status and they haven't started processing my request yet, so I'm worried that the CBSA officer will think I'm out of status. I know they can't give me too much of a hassle since I have my COPR and will be landing, but it makes me uneasy.
I'm sure all my worries are for nothing and tomorrow will go smoothly, but I'm a worrier.
I'm also concerned that the Canada Post strike/lockout will end up delaying my PR card.
