Thank you! I will still be on here. I might be on here a little less when I start working again, but I should still browse here at least once a day.
Hah, it's alright ;D. It got lost at the end of a page. Thank you very much. I hope your application doesn't take too long. It's a good sign that it's already in process with a processing line plus an AOR2 and PCC/RPRF request. Now would be a good time to start ordering notes if you haven't already.

Congrats Decoy! :D :D :D
I was wondering, what are these notes and why should we order them? Also, how?
Thanks for everything!!!!

GCMS notes will tell you exactly what is happening with your file and will also show the comments and personal notes the visa officer has about your file. It will let you know everything you should know about your application.

You order them through the Access to Information Act if the PA is outside Canada and through the Privact Act if the PA is inside Canada. Google GCMS notes and you will find the link. If you order them on behalf of your spouse who is outside Canada they will have to fill out the consent form- IMM5744 by filling their info in section A and the sponsors info in Section C. Choose email to recieve the file. Print, sign, and scan and upload with your request. Follow the instructions to order the notes. You will want to select PR file and electronic notes of the VO.

Hope this helps.

Edit: I see your also outside Canada. You may have to have someone order them for you who is in Canada.

Good news, I got my COPR in the mail today!

My husband pulled a prank on me though. He came in with mail and he said it's "only junk mail". I went to walk away and he said "By the way, it's here" in a monotonous tone. We're celebrating by buying really good bacon for now.

It was issued on June 7th valid until March 30, 2017 with Condition 51, which won't be an issue for me. I'll probably be landing within a month or two though.

Wow. So the expiry is more than 9 months..... Thanks for telling us. Congrats again. Did you make a list of things you're bringing over?

The expiry of the COPR is the same time the medical expires.

It does help. Can I even order them when I'm in Canada, later?

It's not. They told me so in a letter. Our medical expires April 12 2017 and they told us that the visa would expire before April 4th.

If you return to Canada you can order them yourself.

You can also have someone order them now who is in Canada and they can forward the email with the files to you when they recieve them.

It takes up to 30 days to get.

Note, if someone orders them for you then their info goes in Section C of IMM5744.

Unless they lied to me. I had posted about it before in this thread. I believe this medical exam thing is a rumour. It depends when you took the exam, maybe.

It's generally valid until your medical expires. Sometimes if the visa is issued very close to expiration of the medical they will extend the medicals validity to give more time to the PA to land.

Hi ,

had been reading different posts , but am not sure of this

knowing that I have have given one adress (my spouse parents in Calgary)

if: as after landing with a PR Stamp on your Passport, then it takes 2-3 months to get the real PR Card:

then.. can you get a legal job only with that PR Stamp on your passport (or any document given to you when landing at the airport) or you have to wait those 2-3 months to get (if you find it) a job

If I cannot work legally until getting the PR Card, then maybe would be better for me to go back to Spain to keep working those 2-3 months, and then come back when my parents in law may tell me they have receive by mail the PR Card.

Cheers to all

If you are the designated representative on the application do you still have to get an imm 5744?

I just got off the phone with the CIC agent. They said an email about SA was sent on June 7 but I didn't get it and its not even in my junk folder. She said they'll send it again. I'll update the spreadsheet once I get the email.
