I called the call centre again today, asking why I haven't received any mail/email yet about my approved spousal sponsorship. The agent informed me that the letter was mailed to me 3 days ago. I am expecting to receive it any day now.

Hello everyone. I noticed something the other day in ecas and wanted to share it with you in case it could help relieve some frustrations with it not being updated.

When I login with my details (sponsor side) both sponsor and PA show as in process, I have already received sponsor approval and AOR2 from Ottawa with request for RPRF.

PA side shows in process, but when I click into it logged in with my details it has 2 lines:
We received NAME's application for permanent residence on April 7, 2016.
We started processing NAME's application on May 31, 2016.

When I click into it with PA's details it says:
1.We received your application for permanent residence on April 7, 2016.
2.We started processing your application on May 31, 2016.
3.We sent you correspondence on June 7, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

It seems as if they just stopped updating my side now. Anyhow, a small bit of info that might be nothing but be sure to check both sides

I'm beginning to get worried.. My app was recieved since April 25th, got AOR1 since may17th but I can't access Ecas on the sponsors side till now. I can only access PA side.. I haven't even gotten SA.. What is going on with CIC?

relax. ECAS is no indication as to what is going on with your application. it means nothing. CIC is obviously backed up, so all you can do is wait. i suggest not even looking at ECAS.

My eCAS is still the same, no change:

On sponsor side it still says 'In Process' (started processing on such and such date)

On applicant side it still says 'Application received' (with two lines -- app received and medicals received)

am sponsering pr for my wife , its in sa stage recived aor1 may21st when i sent sponsership aplication she was in india , at that time i checked ecas online address was indian address at that time she is now in usa on b2 visa and recently got admition from usa visa and applied to change of status its in process based on this information she applied viisitn visa to canada after applied visitor visa online from usa now address is changed to usa both mailing and home address but no one did nt update request for this automatically changed to usa addrss is it anyproblm for pr application? bcoz at that time she was in india and submitted indian pcc only now she moved to usa 1 mnth back does she submit usa pcc now? or latr she changed to indian addrss ? one more doubt is when indian address reflectin in ecas was only left side shows now usa address showin two side both left n right wht does it mean

If the address they have is not where she actually lives then that will cause issues, because that's where they will send any correspondence and return the passport after PPR etc. She only needs an American PCC if she's lived in USA a total of 6 months (doesn't have to be consecutive).

she is stayin same address now but she is stayin here from may 5th 2016 only before that i sent application to mississauga with indian address my doubt in future may they ask usa pcc? if she lives before they ask more than 6 mnths that could b ok if she stays less than six months eventhough they ask usa pcc how to get that?

I doubt they will ask for an American PCC. Here's some information on getting one if you ever do need it: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp

Because she only recently moved to the U.S. she'll probably still have her application processed in New Delhi, but I can't say for sure. You'll have to wait and see. They are sending a few applications from around the world to Ottawa, probably in an attempt to help the backlogs, so it's really hard to say.

technically it should not matter that your mp is a conservative. It is all handled by their staff anyway. I hope this works for you. It does sound though like reapplying may be your only option.

Why do you think that? It seems that it was just the date that was the issue.

so my wife applied the visitor visa today.. gonna take 10 days to know the answer. you know? i am even before SA. i wonder if their local embassy even know we applied the PR already...
hopefully she gets it. cuz my parents did not attend our wedding; cuz too far away and my parents are well in their senior age. we tried to have a wedding here in B.C.

please let her get the visa.. isn't that so cruel that they never let a married husband and wife meet?
where she came from; it's one of 30 countries need to submit biometric like finger prints and special photo.. why? cuz Uncle Sam forces Canada to do so..

oh wanna hear something funny? my wife wrote "to be continued on a separated " page in a pen on the "background form", where you have to list all your previous work/school. obviously not enough space. the whole form got rejected right at the visa centre. as they said CIC does not let application with a hand writing; if the whole form was done on the pdf.
