Now that my PA side has been "in process" for a few days I'm started to get anxious again, hah. I can't help but wonder how much of my application they have actually worked on yet, who is processing it, what they think of our relationship, etc.

lol I am sure it would go along smoothly. Ottawa seems to be on the ball. Ours went to Kingston, so I know it's probably backed up against a wall with backlogged files and they socializing on this Monday morning. I checked out the Kingston thread, it makes me anxious since things at Kingston VO doesn't seem to be moving faster than a snail.

still no SA for me :(

Not to worry too much as your app went to Ottawa and the next thing you know you will receive COPR in your mail!!!
I envy you soooooooo much wished my wife's app went to Ottawa. Now that HKVO has our file its a long long wait from here on.
Just ordered GCMS notes for myself to get some insight to my app. Any recommendations as to when I should order notes for the PA?

This process is torture! I just finished reading on the warsaw thread about a refusal. The poor people first got a decision made on ecas so of course were very happy and excited. Only to suddenly get a refusal email because they had not shown for an interview that they did not even know about. I can only imagine how horrible this would be. Now you worry every day that you may have missed a non existing email or letter.

If you don't have SA yet, more than likely there won't be anything in the notes for your application. There certainly won't be anything about the PA's application until it's sent to the visa office. It's usually recommended to wait at least a month after the application has been transferred before requesting notes. More than likely there won't be anything in the notes until it's picked up for processing.

Thanks for your reply I will patiently wait a month before I start ordering GCMS notes for my wife. Yes I have SA approval so I should be able to see some details from the GCMS notes.

Can I also go to an international airport or do I have to go to the border? I am in Canada!

I got the confirmation of PR ... now I need to do the next step to become a PR!

how would it work on the airport? when I am already in Canada and I am not flying anywhere?

thanks!
;)

you can only land at an airport if you are flying into canada from another country as you can't get to the immigration unless you just arrived at a terminal by flight. if you are in canada, you have to either go to the border to flagpole, call a local CIC office for an appointment (this can take weeks or months), or fly out then back into canada.

Application began processing in February 2016 in Accra Ghana Outland Spousal Sponsorship Application, CIC says 14 Months, does it always take about that time? Has anyone had experience with the Accra office maybe being a little faster than that, We had a lawyer help us put everything together, so EVERYTHING was sent at once like medical police clearance and all the proof and so on... We know that Accra office takes care of quite a few other countries applications into canada so that really sucks how does it really all work... how is the process done is there any way we could be lucky and get it withing like 6 months or 8 months rather than over a year???

Sorry to hear you had a lawyer help you. Hopefully it was one of the good ones. I believe their is a thread on this forum for ACCRA and they would be better at answering your questions.
