Yaaaaaaaaay HE SAID WE WERE APPROVED ON FRIDAY (FOR SA) AND THAT THE EMAIL SHOULD TAKE UP TO 5 DAYS TO BE SENT I'M SO SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT I'M JUST SO HAPPY.

He also said if we don't get an email by Wednesday to call them so they can tell Mississauga to mail a hard copy. So, if you guys have gone "in process" and haven't received official SA and have waited more than that time, be sure to give them a call.

51 days for SA! I can't wait for the email just to make sure my application was forwarded to Ottawa.

So happy for you! Congrats!!!

App. Filed - the date CIC received your application

AOR Received - Acknowledgement of Receipt, a notification from CIC that they received your application thru mail/e-mail/phone call.

Hi Singh Ver,

I am new applicant just got my application delivered by canada post on may27th
Tell me what/when happens next

Thanks and Congrats !!

Welcome to the waiting game!

All you need to do is be patient and wait for any communication from CIC. Since you're a MAY applicant, you might want to check this thread: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/may-2016-outland-spousal-applicants-t412073.210.html

Hi May 2016,
App. Filed - the day my application was rec'ved by CIC Mississauga by courier.
AOR - Application received by CIC Mississauga and "in-process". This is usually your first acknowledgement of receipt from CIC, saying basically they received your application package and it's in process.
Another acronym is SA - Sponsorship Approval. Meaning as a sponsor you're approved to sponsor your spouse and/or dependent child/children.

Good luck with your application!

Thanks for your response buddy,

So would it be correct to say App Filed date = Canada post delivery date ?

and would AOR come on my (sponsor) email ID or my spouse (person sponsored) email ID

and once again thanks for pointing me to right thread

Yes, the date your application package arrived/delivered in Missisuaga.

My AOR1 came to my email account. I'm the sponsor.

They will send AOR2 once you're approved as a sponsor and your file was transferred to your visa office.

You're welcome! Goodluck!
