Good morning everyone,

I got sponsor approved email from CIC and my application has been transferred to Hong Kong office. I was wondering if anyone know that the visa office will still check sponsor 's documents or only mine?? I also got an email from CIC request some documents of mine. If sponsor changes his job, should I update it to them?

You can but you have to know what you can realistically expect from your MP. They can not influence the decision in any way. All they can really do is find out what is happening. If your file has been misplaced or there is an internal CIC error it may alert CIC to get on it.

I understand your pain brother. Yes I came to know about SA today.
You will get it soon.

Chase your MP for an update too

thanks... the CIC call centre lady sounded a little bid upset. "we knew you did a MP inquiry. your MP called yesterday. (i asked my MP 2 weeks ago), we would tell the MP the same thing. NO UPDATE, STILL UNDER REVIEW!"
i kept calm and said "thank you much!"

good lord i have a very supportive wife .. i told her everything happening today.. she was so supportive..

my case is rare.. i am a Chinese Canadian and met my Arab wife, while i was visiting my old highschool in China for 10 years anniversary. she was there for a language study.. it was back in 2009. then we lost contact and reconnected on facebook again last year. I went to visit her in Tunisia and married.. her parents were very supportive too. But after all, it's still a Muslim country over there.
did you know all of her ID and passport must put in my name.. neighbours and friends always ask "where is your husband." "why you didnt just go to Canada with him." lots of pressure to her in their culture.

I know the delay part at CPC-M. i am probably one of very rare case of Chinese Canadian male marrying an Arab female. Once a Brits told me only 3--4 cases of Tunisian females marrying to British male citizens, cuz you need to jump a lot of hoops ..

come on, 60 days... the problem is you dont have anybody to share this with.. nobody in my hood gonna understand. this is just a new start.. i have people on my fb was shock that I married to a Muslim girl. i wish CIC does not have that kinda of views on me..... but again, who knows? in my deep mind, doesn't matter how long i have been a naturalized citizen .. or work and live in Canada. i wouldnt considered myself the same as say a Canada, UK or US born; then sponsoring someone. i know i sounded a little bid negative today on a wonderful weekend.. it's just i have been thru a lot just to marry someone I love. interracial, interculture...
did you know I went to Tunisia during the worst time; when there were terrorists attacks, I had my blackberry phone updating every day from the Canadian embassy. curfew after 8pm..absolutely not allowed to go out after the dark. why? cuz of Libya and ISIS.. i was telling my wife, doesn't matter unsafe or protests everywhere.. even tonight is my last night in the world ; at least I gonna stay with someone I love.

I wish cic understands this.. they are keeping a lot of couples apart!

I totally get it and understand and know how u feel lol
I dont think cic has any kinda prejudice or misconceptions about Muslims. May be some other countries but not canada....we have a huge Muslim population here!

i wonder how cic looks at us.. my wife is Muslim; but not religious.. lived in China for school before and me I was born in China. i was getting her a visitor visa.. did you know her country was one of those 30 countries need the biometrics?

i hope this gonna get over soon. i gonna brag in front of other friends. how many of you took a "travel advisory" risk and went to somewhere just had terrorist attacks and curfew every night to marry his love one.
so i hope cic thinks we are the real marriage. even if it's an interracial

Me still waiting... :-X

Your bigger concerns are the timelines in your relationship. Being Muslim is the least of your challenges. I know that others disagree with me but I would be careful how many times I enquired. You have Red Flags already in your application.

Still no update on my end....No SA as of today :( Got my AOR1 last may 7

not at all, any help is greatly appreciated. so a few inquiries would delay or caused red flags? although my wife and i have known each others since 2009. we didn't marry until Jan this year.

Perhaps I am confused. I read some of your posts and it looked like you met in 2009, lost contact until 2015 then met and married in a week. Not trying to alarm you but I was just concerned you were focusing on the muslim question. If I was you and I am not, I would continue to build the relationship credibility by visiting, collecting data etc. This is a horrible process and it kills me to read about people who have to fight for years to be together.

the above was correct. yes.. we lost contact after 2013 and then reconnect again in the middle of 2015. i tried to get her a TRV now.. i dont know the chance. i feel i was mentally under-prepared for this process.

so do you think maybe i should submit more evidence, once my file is transferred to Paris? we have more chat logs, my parents invitation letter; my parents live in Canada. we actually tried to have another wedding here in Canada; since my parents were too old to travel to Tunisia at our 1st wedding.. ahhh. dont know the chance of TRV.

Yes I do think you should do that. Take every opportunity to prepare and try to avoid an interview and god forbid a refusal. Especially anything that deals with normal life like where you will live, insurance, health care, banking. Normal situations that married couples deal with. People in fake marriages do not plan a life together. That is the proof you want to send. You have nothing to lose by devoting your frustration with this process at preventing future problems. The speed of which they look at your case is out of our hands now. Try to prevent any further delays.
