Does anyone know what time the CIC online update is on Tuesdays? I got an email yesterday saying SA but it still hasn't updated online. Anything similar happening to others?

I'm a Feb applicant and my ECAS never updated after I received the SA approval, it still says in process to this day, even though I got SA in three weeks...:-). And the applicant's side only changed to in process the end of April, but 10 days later we got the notification of an interview requirement. But there is no notification of that on ECAS site either. They don't update the ECAS as often as they claim they do, so please don't count on that being "up-to-date"...as frustrating and stressful that it is!

For my application, ecas only shows the status of pr application not the sponsorship application. is it normal?
Are you sure you're logging on the the UCI and sponsor's information? Even if you already are, eCAS is notoriously wrong.

No news here :(. 41 days. I couldn't reach the all center either (they were too busy). I'm starting to get frustrated and worried.

We got SA yesterday and I got an email this morning requesting my background check. Oddly enough, they asked for a SCANNED copy.

Suuuuper annoyed at the FBI right now for their processing times and suuuuper annoyed at CIC that they allow channellers again. What crappy timing for us in the middle of the process.

Hey Julie! That's pretty quick doc request from CIC. Does your PA side of ecas show in processing yet?

hey Decoy.

I know its worrying, but im sure all is fine. CIC is just inconsistent. You'll get it soon. Seems CIC is aware they are backed up and over the time looking att he responses other successful callers have had.

Hold in there! :)

Nope, no in process status on ecas with either uci log in.

I ended up using a channeler and got my results within 10 minutes :o I know that doc requests can cause delays but I'm hoping that since I got it to them within 6 hours, there won't be much of a delay.

3 days after recieving AOR, I still cannot access my application online and I noticed my first name was spelt wrongly but my middle name and last name is correct. What should I do?

It can take a while to be able to access eCAS. It took me about a week. Don't worry about that.

Send a case specific enquiry saying that your name is spelled wrong if you're worried about it: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

I hope not! A doc request is pretty much the VO looking at your file already so that's pretty darn quick! :D

Many thanks guys for the replies.. I guess I should leave it like that as long as it doesn't cause any problems for me in future..

Once again, many thanks

I read that sometimes after a doc request, CIC doesn't open up your file again until the "due date" of that document. (In our case that is 16 weeks away even though I responded with what was requested within 6 hours.)

Is this what happens more often than not? Does anyone have any insight?
