Finally got through the internet block and our AOR was there waiting for us.

Received 13th may at 4am our time, so 12th may at about 2pm Mississauga time.

37 days is still only an average. There are still going to be people who unfortunately end up having their SA take much longer. Those people are normally still in the minority. It's also possible that many of the applicants from the last week of March already have their SA and don't know it yet (SA sent via snail mail, eCAS not updated, etc).

Ive actually heard a lot recently that people are getting more snailmail corespondence with cic. Seems so simple to send an email especially when everyone provides one. So strange that theyd even do it but obviously something that makes that happen.

Ive actually heard a lot recently that people are getting more snailmail corespondence with cic. Seems so simple to send an email especially when everyone provides one. So strange that theyd even do it but obviously something that makes that happen.

I know, I definitely don't get it either. The least they could do is update eCAS if they're going to send SA via snailmail. A lot of people have been getting "In Process" on the PA side without even hearing about SA or seeing anything about it on eCAS. I know eCAS tends to be inaccurate, but geez.

Totally agree Decoy and Gary. Just noticing assessment time went down to 37 days, so truly hope within the next week those of us closer to 37ish will start seeing some updates. Its Friday, let's hope they move expeditiously today. One can hope!

I'm at 36 days today (Friday), so I'll have my husband (the sponsor) call on Monday if I don't see or hear anything. My eCAS still says they started processing the SA portion on April 27th.

Hi there,

Since it's Friday the 13th here in the Philippines plus payday at the same time, I had to endure the heavy traffic just to get home. Finally, work week is over! yey! Anyway, when i checked my phone as i finally arrived home (since the gmail of my boyfriend is also linked to my account), I've seen a message from CIC says like, as below:
"This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.’’

What does this means? Is this the AOR? I hope i can get a quick feedback on this. Thanks!

Really? That was fast then! Some forum said it took them 60 days to get an AOR so 17 days for me!
Question: Is there still a possibility for you to get denied even you had an AOR? Moving forward. Thanks again!
