Same thing here: Sponsor side in eCAS changed to 'Decision Made'. Does this really mean that soon there would be a DM on the PA side as well? :/Payel said:same thing. hope so also !
It was just so update system wide on Ecas. Has no bearing on the time ahead before dm.sask8884 said:Same thing here: Sponsor side in eCAS changed to 'Decision Made'. Does this really mean that soon there would be a DM on the PA side as well? :/
Yes, I have sent my passport to Ankara via an authorized representative. But it is the Islamic sacrifice eid or something and the country is in holidays for 9 days so let's see how it goes!pmc92 said:Have you sent Ankara VO your passport? Have they returned it yet? If so, how long did that take?

Thanks Gary. I just found this on the site (quoted below). If I understand correctly, they are saying her won't need it, but maybe we'll get it to be safe.Gary_87 said:Pretty sure he'll need an ETA as he will need one to get on the plane. Once he's a PR he wont need one, but until he is, any travel into Canada will require an ETA.
It's super easy to get and only costs $6 so in the grand scheme of things, its nothing really.
well there you go!neetwo80 said:Thanks Gary. I just found this on the site (quoted below). If I understand correctly, they are saying her won't need it, but maybe we'll get it to be safe.
"I have a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) and will travel to Canada. Do I need an eTA?
No. If you are from a visa-exempt country and have been issued a Confirmation of Permanent Residence document, you do not need an eTA.
If you are from a visa-required country, you are not eligible for an eTA. You have been issued a permanent resident visa in your passport for your travel to Canada.
In both cases, make sure you travel to Canada with your valid passport and your valid Confirmation of Permanent Residence document."
Personally I would get every document available!! Especially if it is not expensive. If we have learned anything over the past months let it be a complete lack of confidence in what they say are their rules!Gary_87 said:well there you go!
might be worth getting though just because airlines dont want to be liable for you not having the adequate eta's or docs and sometimes give you hassle about it if you dont have one. I was almost not allowed on my flight to canada a few months ago because i couldnt find my print out of my eta.
