Does anyone know if we need to use Canada Post to send documents responding to PPR? Or can we use some other private couriers?

You might want to hold off on sending anything via Canada Post. The last I heard they were probably going on strike.

I checked eCAS and saw that PA application is 'In Process', and when I click on it there are 3 lines now:

1. We received [spouse's name]'s application for permanent residence on April 18, 2016.
2. We started processing [spouse's name]'s application on June 28, 2016.
3. Medical results have been received.

I guess the Vienna office finally started working on it.

Guys just a question, Is it possible for my wife to come visit while PR application is "In Process"? She is with me right now in Canada but will soon be going back to Europe and she wants to come and visit again around December. Is that possible?

Yes, that's fine. It's no different from her coming as a visitor any other time.

I applied for my spouse on 15.04.16 and AOR was recvd on 05.05.2016, now ecas is still in process on my side but it is now updated that a mail is sent on 23.06.16 and consider delay in deliveries before contacting cic.
On my spouse side ecas is application recvd.

What should i assume its file refused or sponsorship approval..

Today morning the third line appeared on the status of my wife's application - "We started processing your application on June 28, 2016". Yay!

Depending on the urgency, u can send it thru any courier you want. I Sent mine thru DHL.

Thanks. The address that the document needs to go is PO Box 9780..so I didn't think I could use couriers!

I was talking to a store clerk at Canada Post yesterday, and she recommended I wait and see till the weekend is over. After the weekend, we might get to know better of what they do for this strike.

Well, my time in Canada is at an end. I love it here. Can't wait to move back next year as a permanent resident!

Hopefully there's a letter from CIC waiting for me when I get home letting me know where my visa application ended up!

most normally 3, but yours looks like its sent you a formal AOR2.

looks like other January and Feb applicants of this year have started to receive PPR. It gives positive vibe that backlogs from last year were done and now working on 2016 applicants ;D
