I just realized I missed to include the two day trip to the US that I made. I came back the same day on both days thus it totally slipped my mind.

Technically you didn't actually HAVE to include those in the online calculator.

Maybe, it may raise some flags and cause some additional verification
(maybe nothing, maybe just some questions during the interview, or maybe even RQ - but nobody can predict that),
but you didn't break any rules by omitting those so at the end you should be fine.

I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Yes, if CBSA/CIC's records and your declaration do not tally, it would raise doubts on the validity and authenticity on the other facts declared on your application (eg work history etc).

No, this will not be an issue unless CIC suspect they were not day trips - if, for example, there is no entry stamp/ICES record. Day trips - entry back into Canada on departure day - should not be declared, as indicated on the residence calculator itself.

just wondering what does the red row for Toronto-va in spreadsheet refer to...? (Oath or RQ) NO information are listed for it...

Thank you! That is just a relief. I knew I did not include it for a reason that I already forgot.

I just checked my ECAS and it shows below:

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 9, 2015.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 29, 2015.
3.We started processing your application on July 22, 2015.
4.We sent you a letter on July 22, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I wonder what was in the letter. Anyone here who have the same status? Did they send an email or was it by mail?

Thank you.

Most probably it would be by mail and sometimes test/oath invites are sent by email too even though very few percentage of people reported receiving test/oath invite.

The letter CIC sent you might be fingeprint requests or additional documents request or RQ.

My status also changed to In Process as of July 22, and it also shows that they sent us a mail!!!! Wonder what its about..

Usually they don't send RQ or Fingerprint requests in the same day when they start processing! Probably there is some information/document missing and that's why they have sent you a letter! You shouldn't worry at all...

Hello everyone! Hope all is well for you all.

My application has gone into "processing" phase on July 22nd, 2015. I just saw the update moments ago. Also, I keep reading the fears of getting an "RQ", what reason do they issue those to people? It's very confusing. Thank you in advance! ;D

Yes we travelled frequently . just weekends or daytrips to US. My husbands application says in process and no letter in mail for him....cant wait to see what it is.
