I don't think it will show LOT unless the file is actually transferred to the local office. Moreover, as I said earlier that CIC doesn't seem to be very efficient in updating the ecas very regularly as we have seem from various applicants' experience that they received test invites with the ecas still showing only In Process.
As far as the transfer of file is considered whether it's physical file or scanned copy, only people from our group who have been for the interview & test already can advise better if it's former or latter.
I believe that all the verifications / investigations are carried out only at Sydney and once all this is done, your application is almost complete and is now forwarded to the local office to schedule a test and interview which is basically the final stage of this whole process. The CO just finally ensures the genuineness of your case / entire application by interviewing you and going over with you the various documents you had submitted in support of your application for the Canadian Citizenship
