I do believe they are still only few who get the test invite without any transfer to local office line on ecas.

My wife got her transfer to local office few months ago before she attended the test.
I did call CIC 10 days ago and they confirmed that my application is still in Sydney office and did not get transferred to Montreal office yet...
But in their website they say 'in process' means file has been transferred.

When you get the line transfered to local office your application will still be in process.

The " in process " status contains the "we started processing.... and the "transfered to local... and the We sent you a letter... etc.

It's really weird that applications still in sydney. Are they working on files then, or applications are just on shelves. Does anyone have any idea about why some applications transfered to local office fast while others don't...?

I have the same question.

You see some applications getting transfered within just few days while others spend over a month there.

My wife's one took 1 month before it got transfered (that was back in February).

I am starting thinking there is a problem with my application...but at the same time, when you look at april spread sheet many people are 8n the same boat as I am... may be just Sydney office slowed down a bit due to summer holidays. Hopefully we will start seeing some applications progressing from next week.

I hope so because I start to think that the fast processing that CIC promised us with is not true....
We paid more fees, so we deserve that our applications (regardless which city you live or local office) are processed faster, that what they said not me....

When the file is not transferred to local office and if cic has started to process the application it will still state "In Process"
When the file is transferred to the local office the the status is still shows "In Process"

For some people transfer to local office shows up in e-cas and for some people it never shows up.

I guess it has something to do with our local office and not sydney.

London & vancouver applications are getting transferred quickly

This is my openion also. But what could be the case, is the local office so busy with old applications so so that doesn't accept more, or there is no enough applications in Sydney office to be transfered as one batch to local office .....so confused and worried...

I don' think so. Gatineau is Quebec area (different province). Why you ask this question? Did you hear anything else...?
