All, just giving a quick update about my test (Nov 10th) in Montreal.
The test itself wasn't difficult, got 20/20. An advise, READ THE BOOK, half of the questions were not covered in all the online tests I did. If you read the book 3 or 4 times, you will be more than good.
Interview was quite casual, it took me around 10min to go through. I thought it would be tough as I am self employed with many many travels out of Canada for business purpose in the last 4 years. The officer asked me if I was planning to have clients in Canada (lol) but totally understood the necessity for me to travel outside for my work.
I only had certified copies of the passport that covered 95% of all my 4 years (I renewed my passport last year and I could not keep the old one due to my country of origin regulation), the officer seemed aware about my country regulation and did accept the certified copies no problem.
They did not check my passport stamps at the interview and said they will do it later (as I provided passport copies). She said next step would be the oath invitation and this would take (at 1st) between 4 to 6 months. Then she said 4-6 months is what we used to have before but now it's a bit faster and I should expect it within 2 to 4 months.
She said "we say 4-6 months so the applicants will not start hassling the call center arguing that the the officer at the interview told xxx time " lol.
By the way, I did include extra documents when I sent my application, the officer noticed that at the interview, she seemed a bit surprised that I provided these documents but it did not bother her.
Good luck for all still waiting for the test... Let's see when my Decision Made will show up on my Ecas...
I do think it would be a good idea to add a "Decision Made" column in the April 2015 spreadsheet. What you guys think?
