Hi all my friends in this forum. you have been my ROCK for last six yrs starting from PR application to citizenship. My wife and I got our oath invitation yesterday along with our 8 yr old daughter. I want to thank you all and wish you quick and painless journey to citizenship soon . My timeline:
i, I applied in April. Scarborough .
Application received: April 2, 2015
AOR: April 15, 2015
Started processing: July 26, 2015
Sent notice for Citizenship Test: Aug 13, 2015
Test: Sept 3, 2015
Ecas to Decision made: Sept 7, 2015
Received Oath invitation letter: October 28
Oath Ceremony: Nov 13

My citizenship application is in process. Will I be getting an email regarding the citizenship test or do I need to check the status online for citizenship test invitation? Or will I be getting a letter to home address. Please let me know.

You can't know, you will either get an email (I guess you did provide an email address in your application) or a post mail.

Usually ecas updates as well telling you that they sent you correspondence for your citizenship test (also happens sometimes that ecas does not update, or at least not in time)

I applied on March 15, 2015. CIC received my application on March 16, and send me acknowledgment email on March 30. And start process my application on April 7. Still waiting for test.


Is my case normal? Lot of April applications already got their test done or invited to the test. Call CIC, the lady told me only thing I can do is wait. Sooooo upset. Also I am not sure my application transferee to local(Winnipeg) yet, it did say on my online status.

So, I would appreciate some love.. 2nd time is a charm I guess..
As you know I applied in 2009 and withdrew in 2014 after a lot of unnecessary queries. Hence, I applied again...
Finally, E-Cas shows that they sent a letter at the end of October 2015 to appear for the test. I would appreciate some great links for studying for the test once again since what I wrote 5 years ago must've changed. Wish me luck!

im from Montreal,done my oathaking today around 9am.i am now a canadian,im so happy and so proud! just be patient.....
immigration is working so hard for us..just wait for your turn..

Hello,

I got the test yesterday, passed 18/20. the office told me everything looks good in the interview and i should wait for the Oath date letter with in 1-3 months.

does it mean that there is no RQ? and everything is good?
